Verily the Chairboys go into the last eleven games of the season with a certain degree of trepadation, as the next two are on the hallowed turf of Adams Park, where points have been hard to come by having colected only two in the last two months, that said records are there to be broken so we welcome the Shrews to AP for a crucial League Two promotion battle between the 3rd and 2nd placed teams in the division. In recent weeks our mean defence has been leaking a few, having not kept a clean sheet since early February, but two of those games were with a different centre back pairing so I now expect normal service to resume, up front scoring has been a problem but fingers crossed the productive Paul and Fred partnership is restored.
I will be at AP for this one looking forward to a cracking game a pie and a pint a good sing song and another 3pts added to our tally<ok>

No chance Guy. This is one of a few we will be losing in the coming weeks. I've backed Shrews to win this :emoticon-0130-devil :emoticon-0143-smirk

Catching us at a good time for you. Lost 2 key players to injury for the season and the increasingly influentual Lawrence for the last few games, We are supposedly signing someone today-needing a left sided central defender or right wing back. Hopefully Lawrence will be back and fox in the box, Mangan, possibly on the bench.

With both teams scared of losing such an important game i can see this as a 0-0 bore draw and with our home form i'd take that as long as Bury and Luton lose. <whistle>

The way things are going mowgli, we don't seem to be able to manage not conceding a goal. I'm wondering if our players are just beginning to feel the effects of a hard season. There's no doubt they had been putting in 100% effort and I doubt many have had a rest. Another problem of only having a small squad.

our players are now starting to score more than in recent weeks though ron, and don't forget we had pierre out for a while and breaking up that defence in the slightest always comes with problems.

As for this game I can see a draw, I don't think either side wants to lose it importantly

Trouble is, a draw drops 2 points, which isn't ideal for either

It's going to be an interesting game, looking forward to making the trip to the match. Leaky defence v miss firing strikers who's going to win...

... Me sat in a pub tonight in Croxley drinking good ale!

Jombati out injured. <yikes> Saunders drops to the bench and Bean starts instead, the good news - Fred starts up front with Hayes. <party>

Apparently a "goal of the year" if Holloway's shot had gone in 5 mins from the end

Excellent performance in the first half. Shrews showed very little and WWFC had a couple of half chances for a second.

In the second half Shrews stepped it up and the pressure was building until Fred was replaced by Holloway who held the ball up really well in the last 20 mins or so and hit the bar with a 25 yarder with the outside of his boot. Deserved win and the Shrews are now the team for everyone else to shoot at.
