Well it was a cracking game a pie and a pint and 3pts in the bag we dominated the first half the Shrews created very little second half they looked more up for it but without really testing Ingram who must have been surprised by how little he had to do our defence was awesome Nico fitted in seamlessly at right back Mr Bean although not good going forward produced some match winning tackles playing in front of the back four Blooms defied the years and ran around tirelessly but I was most impressed with Sam Saunders who linked up the midfield with the attack and Sam Wood was back to his best but my man of the match was the grounds man it was nice to see all that grass on the pitch now the pests have buzzed off

The thing that never fails to surprise me is how players seem to be able to slip seamlessly into this team - yannaris at right back, saunders only knowing he was playing just before kickoff (similar to craig last week), bean who hasn't featured in a while etc. This will be a huge strength to have when the fixtures start to get congested over easter
Huge win and a superb header from Sammy - is there anything he cant do???

Funnily enough I think Ephraim having to drop out may have been a good thing - I think Saunders is better suited to playing that role in a 3 in the middle - unless Ephraim was going to play as one of the front 3 and Sammy W was going to play in the middle 3 rather than up front.

Crap game for us. We looked embarrassing in the first half. We can play far better than that and we are really missing a couple of injured players.

Now onto the serious stuff, I bought a steak pie... Not impressed :(

Anyhow, hopefully see you fellas in league one next season.
