The Tottenham Hotspur "Spiral" Watch

Discussion in 'The Premier League' started by The Ginger Marks, Sep 13, 2016.

  1. You have to understand, Bod, that Pixie has only a scratch 'n' sniff knowledge of boardroom politics.

The only experience of he's had is from watching episodes of Dallas.

  2. I said on another thread that we do not need to spend A-List prices on B-List players, as most of our current squad are A-List players.

It's better for Poch to keep this bunch of lads together (ala the Busby Babes, and Fergie's "Golden Crop"), than to bring in some Billy Big Bollocks prima donna who is going to upset the balance in the dressing room.

It may have escaped your attention, Pix, but the World's elite has been trying to buy most of our first XI. Why do you think that is?

We don't need big players, we need squad players.

    Fergie's Golden Crop?

Where the **** did you get that from? <laugh>

  4. It is a phrase that I have coined, Lightning.

I refer, of course, to the Neville, Scholes, Gigs, and Beckham era.

You are a United fan, I thought you would have known that?

    Giggs. You forgot Nicky.

I can't see your phrase catching on 25 years after the event as it makes it sound like Fergie had a trim and bleach.

You were definitely not born to be a football fan <laugh>

    Coming from you <laugh>

So presumably you are going along with what Bod is saying then ?

So explain to me, given that Arsenal's accounts are available to the public, how does 'most of the money that Arsenal make is spent in farms and yachts' for the directors work ?

  7. I don't care, Stan.

    Hm.

I grew up in Tottenham, and I consciously became a fan of my local club from the age of 6, when I was taken to my first game at the Lane.

This concept is alien to the vast majority of United fans, since their first language isn't even English, is it, Lightning?

Yes and then those accounts are made public through Arsenal holdings.

You still haven't explained how Arsenal have managed to secretly give $725m to kronke to buy his ranch. Perhaps you think an undeclared contract with a toilet cleaner paid for it ?

  9. No, mate. I haven't been following Bod's argument.

However, I instinctively know that you are going to be making a clown of yourself.

Come off it, Pix! How naïve are you!

There are any number of ways that your greedy directors can disguise their hands having been in Arsenal's coffers, and you know it!

You've crammed very little football knowledge into your 60 years.

Fine mate. Show me some evidence that the directors have disguised having had their hands 'in arsenals coffers'.

  12. I have noticed that you always revert to hyperbole whenever you are put on the ropes in these kinds of discussions, Pix.

If you could only learn to admit when you've been beaten, people would warm to you a lot more than they do, mate.

The claim was specifically that Arsenal spent most of their money on buying farms (ranches) for their directors.

Once again you have proved that don't have a clue what you are talking about. <ok>

  14. There you go, again, Lightning! Using the old "exaggerate the age of the poster to wind him up" ruse.

You'll never catch me using those kinds of pathetic tactics. I'm far too sophisticated for that.

Now, hadn't you better ask your Mum to help you with your homework? School on Monday, mate.

I genuinely thought you were 60. You come across as a hysterical old woman when you have your tantrums and you claim to have seen Greaves play for Spurs when he was at Chelsea in the late 50s.

By the way, schools have broken up, private schools ages ago, state schools last week. Clearly you're a very hands on parent <laugh>

    <doh>

You need to calm down, mate.

Hop in here, and flip-flop a while. I'll pop you back in the water when you're feeling calmer.

There is no evidence....they hide it.
Why do I think the board are doing this then? I hear you ask.
    Simple

The money has had to have gone somewhere, and it sure as **** hasn't been re invested into the team.
Arsenal have the 3rd highest turnover in the league, yet only the 5th highest wage bill for all their players and staff, which accounts for only 50% of their turnover.

Also look at the Director's salaries.
    £2.9m year per annum

    Chelsea's highest paid Director?
    £220k per year.

The board are, without doubt, fleecing the club.

  19. You are in the habit of getting these things wrong. Let's be honest about it.

One man's "hysterical old woman" is another's superb method-actor.

No, I didn't. What I actually wrote is that I have a poster of Greaves, bought for me by a former colleague. I actually stated that I am too young to have seen Greaves play.

But there is no wum-value in that for you, Lightning, is there?

    I was wumming, Stan.

Hint: I do a lot of that.
