Alex was the best tackler we had in the time he was here. Had he not gone off injured we'd have won the FA cup. I wish him well. Charon, you're a know nowt dickhead.
we were relegated because his dad kept picking him and he dropped Curtis, Macca and farmed out Maguire - FACT we lost the cup final because he gave away a stupid free kick when we were on top - FACT his dad gave him a two year extension to his contract when we were in the Premier League - FACT as soon as Silva came in he got shut of him and he couldn't even make the bench at Wigan who are Division 1 fodder - FACT worse case of nepotism in football - FACT Ps - I told you Brucie would **** up Villa and wouldn't get them promoted despite your confidence that he would - FACT
Did the best he could with the ability he had, and certainly put more passion into it than most. Also seemed like less of a **** than most modern day footballers, a gent like his dad actually. What's not to like?
Love how a thread called 'There is a god' has become about Alex Bruce. Good, solid, underrated professional. If there really was a god, Alex's header would have sneaked in against Arsenal putting us 3 - 0 up and on our way to the cup. Good luck for the future.
FICTION. We were relegated because we didn't get enough points to finish outside the bottom 3. Blaming any one player is idiocy of the highest form. FACT. FICTION. We lost the cup final because Arsenal scored more goals than us over 120 minutes. Blaming any one player is idiocy of the highest form. FACT. Although FACT, you neglected to mention that he was injured.
I'll say this too. I think we can all agree he had his limitations, but it was rare that he was ever made to look a mug by anyone when he played for us in the PL. And I think that's because he was so proud to play in the PL, under his Dad, that he applied himself like very few other players do and maximised what he had every week. The City fans could see that and I think the vast majority thought very highly of him as a result. Not all players can say the same. I'd personally rather see a player of limited ability busting a gut week in, week out for everyone, than a superstar player shrugging his shoulders for 89 minutes and choosing when it suits him to bestow his skill upon us all.
Snuffed out Suarez completely in our annual victory against Liverpool last time round. In fact I go told when he went to Zernys to pick up his pants, they said we found a small Uruguayan rodent in your back pocket- is it yours?
To all the FC fans that do the right thing and follow city , sorry about yesterday's result , but to 90 % of the FC fans I know who support Liverpool and Arsenal , get ****ed!
Totally ANYBODY from Hull that supports Liverpool , Manchester United etc. Get well and truly ****ed.
This God of yours seems to have a bit of a downer on City as well, still, as you say, he has certainly dished out his justice quickly. Think he may have read your post and grinned to himself just before todays kick off. Thanks.
