an interesting press conference last night in USA after being asked why did it take so long?

Before we risk going to court we endeavour to cover all bases was pretty much the answer..= 90%+ success rate

will the rats turn on their own, USA is infamous for making plea deals...

sorry sir, you will be getting 25 years and all your assets seized and Sepp will be sunning himself all round the world, however ...! ! ?

A couple of people will go to prison.
    FIFA will be fined
    Blatter will quietly retire.
The dust will settle and we will all be able to sit back and wait for the world cups in Russia and Qatar which they both bought.
Then everything will continue as it did before.

Blatter should be removed from his post immediately, and when you consider he is using an old Germanic phrase of not knowing what was going on right in front of his face, it becomes even more of a slap in the face.

Regrettably CONCACAF has had a major corrupt chicken in the coop called Jack Warner for too many years and now he has finally been charged, but if anyone believes that Blatter was unaware of this scab within FIFA then I have a bridge for sale.

I believe we should take up a position of conciliation now. Russia may have paid the bribes requested, (it worked for them after all) but its all too far down the line now, the world should say whats done is done, Russia should carry on with 2018 now (South Africa probably did the same!). we should all be working together to say it stops from here, get the lot of them out and draw a line in the sand from now!

The political upheaval taking the WC from Russia now is not worth it, they have only done what it would appear many have done before them, the cost in infrastructure and the costs already involved would quite rightly make the Russians very bitter about it all.

I remember reading from many a poster on here and other sites at the time that we should also be 'playing the game' in order to get a tournament, being over judgemental now just isolates us all. We would be better off with the co-operation of all federations.

Its time to erase this particular FIFA from the record books.

Chuck FIFA out, make the Welsh FA run it and then I can get excited for the World Cup for once.

Agree - Allow Russia to host 2018 despite the methods that may have been used to have them in pole position as the hosting country. At least they are a proper football nation with a history unlike the USA (c'mon, they're just not), South Africa, South Korea/Japan, and Qatar.
Why not give 2022 to Greenland ? At least it wouldn't be too hot.....unless Global warming really accelerates

Recent arrests have proved FIFA is corrupt from top to bottom.
Do I want anything to do with them, No.

'The political upheaval taking the WC from Russia now is not worth it, they have only done what it would appear many have done before them'

So they're crooks and crime pays.
    Hmmm.

it should never have been, but if you pay corrupt money you expect the corrupted to complete the job... or could it be by voting for him they could possibly be protecting their own a**es no chance of him saying thanks, now you've stitched me up but no refunds! and I will will spill the beans

It's a flawed system where the Sunday league standards of American Samoa and other small islands have as much of a vote as FA. Small islands can easily be bribed while the major leaders in football such as England, Brazil and Germany are forgotten.

the man is clever, by buying up all the small bits they eventually become bigger than half of the bigger bits
This fact was highlighted yesterday when they pointed out the Bahamas have 56,000 people just 1% of countries like the major footballing nations of the world.....

Bit like the SNP really loads of seats and very few votes! like 9% of the seats with 2% of the electoral vote UKIP 1 seat .16 % from 11.8% of the electoral vote .. .. Blattered

The people who hold the real power in football are the big clubs - if they decide they have had enough of FIFA you could see a breakaway

I think we are still a fair way away from that happening, but could be a scenario

where does fifas finance come from, a big chunk must come from Europe and eufa, maybe withholding a big chunk of that might shake things up.

Hope Platini gets the Europeans to boycott the WC.

Our FA should lead the way but they're all scared of their own shadows.
And they'd miss the Gravy Train.
How can they refuse staying in 5* luxury hotels, 1st Class Air travel, all expenses paid.

    It's a nonsense.
    We should get out asap.

Is this the wrong link? It don't mention the English FA in that page.
