It would seem both managers are in deep and need this win more than ever. A win is a win is a win as they say.

Arsenal still maintain their 3-0 lead over Chelsea (could be more too), and are playing some excellent football.

Newcastle still holding a 1-0 lead at Villa with about 5 mins to play.

Earlier Palace defeated Sunderland 3-2 after Defoe had given them a 2-0 lead. Benteke scored a very late winner.

We really need a striker who can score goals from open play, rather than set pieces (all 11 goals so far this season). Caulker did well today to make up the shortfall from a corner kick, but our strikers really should have scored a few in that 2nd half.

Saying that, Chelsea get their first goal effort on target in the 84th min, then a nice conversion kick from Pedro.

 

Villa tie it up late (1-1), then almost the winner.

Aston Villa get their reward for a sustained spell of pressure, Aaron Tshibola scoring his first goal for the club by heading in Jordan Ayew's inch-perfect corner from two yards out at the back post.

There's going to be six minutes of added time for either side to find a winner.

He robs Jonjo Shelvey of the ball just outside Newcastle's box and slides the ball into the area in the direction of Jonathan Kodjia, who is inches away from grabbing the winner.
