What a game that was. Madrid leaving themselves completely open in the 92nd minute when a man down. If both goalkeepers weren't excellent it could have been 5-5. One of the great Messi performances.

 

Newcastle beat Preston 4-1 and are promoted...

Gabby Agbonlahor scored his first goal in 14 months as Aston Villa ruined Harry Redknapp's first game in charge of Birmingham City by winning the Second City derby at Villa Park.

Agbonlahor turned sharply in the six-yard box to score a 68th-minute winner after Blues failed to clear a corner.

Birmingham City manager Harry Redknapp told BBC Sport:

"They've not had a shot in the second half - apart from the goal. It's the only one they've had. Our keeper didn't even get his gloves dirty.

"You can't say Villa were good. If that's the best they can do, Steve's clearly got a lot of work to do.

"They (Birmingham under Gianfranco Zola) had won two out of 24. When you look at that record, it scares you to death. Confidence has been low but the lads showed good attitude and responded well.

"We could not have worked any harder. We just didn't get the break. It won't be easy against Huddersfield, but we've got every chance if we keep playing like that."

Highlight of last night's matches was Alexis Sanchez and his 'serious assault' by Fuchs which has led to some pretty heavy piss-taking across the board. However, if there was ever tweet to totally shame the cheating c*nt it was this one from ex-Rugby player Ben Kay, 10/10...

Just watching Rangers v Celtic. Rangers are really piss-poor, if Celtic had their shooting boots on it would be 6 or 7-0 by now, as it is it's 3-0. I think Rangers would struggle to survive in the Championship, totally outplayed...

 

Such a massive gulf between Celtic and the other teams in SPL, FT 5:1, the Ibrox faithful will be raging tonight - roll on a busy night for the police! They reckon Rangers need to spend about £50M to get anywhere close to Celtic, and I don't think they've got three beans.....embarrasing to think how far from grace they've fallen, and no-one up here has any sympathy for them

 

Ashford United are 3-0 up against Rochester United. Win today and we're promoted as champions from the South East Counties Southern League.

 

Parejo scored today against Real Madrid.
