Because we've just pulled one back against the titatinic Germans who play in the 4th tier (a regional league) of the Fatherlands divisional structure! Game on! Thank goodness the game against Union was rained off, they are a whole two leagues higher than Lokomotive.
Lokomotive Leipzig used to be one of East Germany's top sides in the 60s and 70s, they must have had some fall to be 4th tier now, But they're still able to give us the runaround...
It's a Phoenix club Soops. Tried to re-establish itself under its original, pre communist name of VfB Leipzig after reunification, finished dead bottom of the Bundesliga in its one season up there and went bankrupt early 2000s, fans resurrected Lokomotive name and they have been hanging around the lower tiers since then. We've just had a goal disallowed. And in the 83rd minute we bring it back to 3-2! VfB were the first ever German national champions in 1903 when there was a play off format. Their opponents, Dfc Prag, a bunch of ethnic Germans from Prague, went on a pub crawl the night before the game in Hamburg and were in no shape to play, then the match was delayed as they couldn't find a ball. VfB ran out 7-2 winners. Brilliant. Finishes 3-2 to Leipzig.
England women 1-0 up after 2 minutes v Spain, should be 2 but for some very dodgy refereeing (definately NOT offside)....not too bad a crowd either
Col, you could be: - wildly optimistic? - "in the know"? - masochistic? - eternally hopeful? - brainwashed? - automatically programmed? - a typical QPR supporter? Any help? I expect not.
