Spurs fan in peace... honestly wish the lad Andros all the best with Newcastle. Can't blame him for wanting away. Euro 2016 is around the corner and he needs first team football to ensure his place in the summer. He's an honest player who'll give 100% every week, something no fan will ever complain about. He'll have you off your seats and your head in your hands all in the space of a few seconds. Great pace, will bomb down the wings but sometimes the end product is a tad predictable. If he can work on his decision making, he could become a great player. Got a vicious finish on him when he's in the mood for a goal and will provide width and scare a lot of defences. I think £12m for a 24 year old full England international is good business. Good luck for the rest of the season lads
Saw that the other day after I'd posted. Probably just needs a new start then since he's been there for that long.
Fair do's... I wish him well. Good player if a little predictable. If he plays on the right he'll alway cut back, move towards the middle and shoot. Playing him on the left seems a good shout.
I think it's just realism for us to be honest, we have completely different aims to Spurs at present so it's probably a very good player for someone at our level, not really what Spurs need to break top 4
He will fit right in then (tbf we have had a lot more head holding than off seat-ing this past 5 plus years)
Like Spurs, Toon fans like exciting football (á la the Keegan days) when players used width and pace right? Townsend will provide that. I only see him adding much needed pace and attacking guile to your team. You'll do fine with him I'm sure of it.
Yeah in line to be involved against Everton next week. Crazy to think we have spent the most globally this month, just need that elusive striker now and I'm confident we can beat the drop. Remy or Berahino will make it a great window. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...castle-uniteds-285m-january-splurges-10801772
Heard a rumour about 10 minutes ago that there may be a breakthrough with either Remy or Berahino within the next 24 hours. Also, we have 'apparently' asked about loaning Kieran Gibbs for the remainder of the season. Don't shoot the messenger, it's just what I have been told. The Gomis rumours are also very wide of the mark. We aren't interested.
If these turn out to be true I may find myself having to 'do a Tash' (figuratively speaking - not actually doing Tash!)
It could turn out to be wide of the mark, but I have been told that is the current situation. Gibbs is classed as a long shot, but we have made an enquiry of sorts.
Update - Lacazette. He is very keen on a summer move to the PL and he is our number 1 target in the summer along with defenders. Remy - We are in talks. Fairly advanced as well.
Which makes remarkable sense. Proven goalscorer for a few months, secure PL status then spunk another £50-60m in the Summer to challenge the defending PL champions, Leicester City.
Soccer_Sauce also reporting that we're basically waiting for Pato to sign, then Remy will be ours on loan. Strange club, Chelsea. Pato's had a poor few years, loads of injuries and no PL experience. Essentially swapping him for Remy - sounds like Abramovic getting too involved via Football Manager to me. Still, helps us out no end.
Leicester!!! Few good games and everyone's in love with them. If we're going to challenge the champions then put your money on Pards' Super Eagles at least if we believe the Pards is God crew.
