Unfortunately had to stay at home and watch this on the laptop, been battered by a terrible cold that's completely knocked the stuffing out of me, so today was just the 5th time in about 11-12 years that I've missed a home game (Prem, Cups and Europe) and trust it to be such a epic one! Thought we were excellent, Dembele looked a lot better and controlled the midfield for periods, full backs were class as usual, Eriksen was a wizard, Alli's assist for Kane was a thing of beauty and Kane himself scored a very well deserved hattrick. You could hear Jan scream in pain on the TV when he rolled his ankle and there were clear tears in eyes, looks a real nasty one and I wish him the best of recoveries, he's been phenomenal this season. The one thing that would've topped off today's display is if Dier or Wanyama could've sent McClean head first into the advertising hoardings. Great win, we're on a roll. COYS!
Watching the game now. Never let it be said that Pochettino did not get a hard-working defensive performance from Chadli in a game at WHL.
Poor diddums with the sniffles You'd have enjoyed the rounds of "Chelsea rent boys, we're coming for you". Shame Leicester ruined things by being **** again but hopefully we start closing the gap soon so it can become a regular chant.
It looks like a formation from 1958: 2 Full backs - Vertonghen and Dier 1 Centre Half - Alderweireld 2 Half Backs - Wanyama and Dembele 2 Wingers - Rose and Walker 2 Inside Forwards - Dele and Eriksen 1 Centre Forward - Kane
How spooky will that be if the Spurs team that next wins the league most resembles the 60-61 formation ??
Thanks. I tried to set it out like an old style team sheet, but my iPad or the site doesn't want to play and changed the setup...
Indeed but it is the proper way to play, all this timid 442 433 stuff, they don't like it up 'em Mr Poch sir!
Oh I wish it was just the sniffles! Lol. Ha, yeah I heard it through the headphones on my laptop, although I'd much prefer the day we get to chant "Chelsea rent boys, we're waiting for you!" once we're ten points clear . I didn't hold much hope of a Leicester win to be honest, they've been woeful this season and even without Costa I fancied Chelsea to do a number on them.
I fancied Leicester's chances to win until I remembered Mahrez was gone. Even still, I fancied Ranieri to look at taking on their defence in the air but with Slimani and Ulloa out, that went out of the window too.
For the past week the press were almost willing us to stuff it up. They're going to be even more unbearable for our next league fixture, aren't they?
Do we need a separate "Pundit watch" article (to separate them from "proper" (sic) football journos) ??
I've just seen this. How dare the silly cow use her newspaper column to pick on one of the most genuine man in the game. As we all know, Kane is a good person with good standards who deserves better than to be subjected to cheap and unnecessary comments from someone who should know better. Shame on you Karren Brady, you have let yourself down badly on this one.
