    Anyone going?

    I was toying with going to Beverley for lunch, but I expect it will be packed and it won't really be practical to pop there for an hour or so, might go to Market Weighton to wave at Wiggo instead.

    Sunday's stage starts in earnest at the roundabout at the end of my street. I'm going to be there in a Lycra devil's outfit, ringing a cow bell.

    I was thinking along the same lines. They reckon Etton is a good place for watching as they're not expecting huge crowds around there. Do you know approx times they are expecting to pass through certain places?

    Cheers just had a look. I have I think found a spot that fingers crossed few people will know about after Market Weighton - might go and see if I can grab a spot about 12.30.

    I think the weather will have an impact on likely timings.

    Why is it called Tour de Yorkshire?

    It should be Tour of Yorkshire, or the Yorkshire Classic or similar.

    Because it's organised by Amaury Sport Organisation, who run the Tour de France and that's what they wanted to call it.

    <laugh>

    It is a bit silly isn't it. The TV coverage is showing some of the text in French, like "tete de la course"

    At least it seems to be capturing the imagination and promoting it and the region. It's the new golf.

    Good crowds out in many places, particularly given the **** weather.

    Absolutely ridiculous. You'd think there were no other races except in France.

    God I miss living in the ER area.

    Leeds is a great city but everytime I come back I get that 'home' feeling.

    Bloody love Hull and ER me.
