I appreciate that the cyclists are amazingly fit (as in healthy) sportsmen, I can even understand why people like cycling themselves, but I just can't see the draw in waiting for ages to watch some blokes in lycra shoot past at 35-40 mph for a few seconds.

Also said there's a good chance Yorkshire will get the opening stage of the TDF sometime soon. Gary Verity was with the TDF Ops Director today.
Interesting to see they are coming on the Eton-Nth Dalton-Warter-Pocklington road, a ride I did regularly, always good to see how they ride sections you know well.
Just watched back the highlights of the first day and it was nice to see them riding on the roads I often rode myself from Nth Dalton through Warter to Pocklington.
I didn't get a chance to go out and watch this year , I heard the crowd in Beverley was very big though , seems like another success
