Lol, he aint next Cashley. But he can be a decent backup if he isnt injured.

Moreno will be expensive, typical delusion from Pool like Sakho quoted 30M pounds <doh>

If we want a back up left wing back, just bring back Rahman who we already own!

Tiemoue Bakayoko is a Chelsea player having today completed a transfer from Monaco.

Bakayoko, 22, is a tall, strong and quick central midfielder who was instrumental in Monaco’s Ligue 1 triumph last season, as well as their impressive run to the Champions League semi-finals.

He recently made his debut for France in the same line-up as new team-mate N’Golo Kante, and is widely recognised as one of the best young central midfielders in European football.

Bakayoko, who has signed a five-year contract and will wear the No.14 shirt, said: ‘I am very happy to be here and to join this great team. I have grown up watching Chelsea. Signing was the natural thing for me because it is a club I loved very much in my childhood.

‘I am now looking forward to evolving under this fantastic coach and alongside so many great team-mates.’

I dont get your transfer business this Summer.

Morata - £70m for a player who in my humble opinion is a downgrade on Costa. Technically he's good but I cant see him getting the goals that Costa did.

Bakayoko - I like this guy. But is he an improvement on Matic?.. he's more athletic but less disciplined.

If I'm being honest I would take Costa and Matic over Morata and Bakayoto any day of the week. Its a weird one because you guys have signed two decent players but I cant help but think Chelsea will be weaker for it.

Costa doesn't want to stay and has alienated himself from the manager. What choice do we have but to sell and move on? Who is available that is better than Morata? A guy who has shown in Italy and Spain how good he is, won titles and the C.L and at 24 will only get better.

Bakayoko excites me. Him alongside Kante could be amazing for us. Both very mobile and will protect the defence brilliantly. I like Matic but think he was a little lost in our midfield once Kante came in and doesn't offer enough going forward. Bayayoko hopefully addresses this.

On paper it arguably does not look like an improvement but you've got to keep things fresh and I think we've done that whilst also bringing in youthful players (having lost Terry for Rudiger as well).

    Logical questions Bear.
But look at it this way - we have more or less replaced the class in Costa & Matic with Morata & Bakayoko for few million net spend. Younger and better potential. For once this looks like summer of 2014 than 2015. I approve our dealings. We need numbers to supplement our squad strength.

Bakayoko's discipline is not as bad as costa.
Morata's attitude is 200% better than Costa.

Both Costa & Matic were not very interested most of last season.
