Isn't he a winger? Does anyone know what is his natural foot, thus whom he may be replacing or competing with?
Just to be clear, this is Kazenga Lua-Lua, not Lomana...with our record I just want to check. Kazenga is indeed, a winger.
A few goals with those back flip celebrations will at least be entertaining. Knowing our Jude the Cat luck, he'll probably break his neck/back performing one of those stunts (like our china knees beast Sandro) Sandro injured his knee sliding to celebrate goal in TRAINING, says QPR boss Harry Redknapp Sandro missed 1-1 Premier League draw against Stoke on Saturday Harry Redknapp tells talkSPORT midfielder injured knee in celebration Brazilian slid along the dry ground after scoring a goal in training Queens Park Rangers midfielder Sandro is facing a spell on the sidelines after injuring his knee while celebrating a goal in training. The former Tottenham star, who missed much of last season after a serious knee injury, scored and slid on his knees to celebrate. But because the dryness of the pitch at the Harlington training ground, the Brazilian hurt his knee. please log in to view this image Sandro has injured himself during a QPR training session after celebrating a goal by sliding on his knees please log in to view this image <img Harry Redknapp confirmed the Brazilians problem during an interview with talkSPORT on Tuesday morning FOUR OTHER BIZARRE INJURIES DAVE BEASANT: Severed the tendon in his big toe after dropping salad cream on it in 1993. DAVID BATTY: Managed to re-injure his Achilles tendon when he was run over by his toddler on a tricycle It caused him to miss the 2-2 draw with Stoke on Saturday and manager Harry Redknapp is facing an anxious wait over how long he will be without the midfielder. Ching, ching. Polter Leaves QPR - Report please log in to view this image Seb Polter has officially joined FC Union Berlin according to their official website The report states that the German forward has penned a three-and-a-half year deal for a fee reported by Sky Sports as £3m. After signing for Chris Ramsey in the summer of 2015, Polter was a bit of a slow burner. Indeed his later deleted Twitter rant about not being selected rather epitomised a frustrating early spell for the German forward. He found his form with a fine headed goal against Hull City and impressed QPR supporters with his work-rate if not his goal-scoring prowess. 11 goals in 56 appearances for the forward signed from Mainz including four goals this campaign certainly has not made his a prolific capture, but question marks should also be raised over the levels of service into the front-man and the lack of goals behind him. He has found in recent times that he is encouraged to play with his back to goal and bring in others such as Tjaronn Chery - not playing to his undoubted strength which would and should be feeding on crosses from wide areas. A popular figure in Berlin, Polter's capture will go down very well having missed out on him when he joined QPR in 2015. £3m - a profit - will suit QPR very well as Holloway looks to rebuild his squad. Really not sure what the point of ever signing him was? At least we have Furlong & Doughty back from Swindon. Ben Glad To Be Back please log in to view this image New signing Ben Gladwin is chomping at the bit to get started after securing a return to The County Ground earlier today. Town announced this morning that they had bolstered their ranks with the addition of the creative force, who will remain at SN1 on loan from QPR until the end of the 2016/17 campaign. With first-team football having been at a premium so far this season, Gladwin is now focused on playing week in and week out and helping pull the Reds away from the bottom of the table. “It has been in the pipeline for a few weeks and I’ve known that I’ve wanted to get out and play,” he told swindontownfc.co.uk exclusively. “For me, the best place to come would always be here so we’ve known for a little while but it was just a case of getting it done. “It was a very easy decision. “It is a comfortable environment and obviously I know all the management and the way the club plays is important for me. “I’ve got great memories here so it was very easy for me to come back. “It has been a frustrating eighteen months since I left here because I’ve not been able to string together too many games back-to-back, so I want to come here and play as many games as possible until the end of the season and find myself again.” Gladwin is available to feature against Bolton Wanderers this weekend and the midfielder can’t wait to get started. “I’m really looking forward to it and Bolton is a huge club and it will be a good stadium to play at,” he added. “Hopefully we can go there and get the job done.” The 24-year-old has been brought in to help push Town up the Sky Bet League One table and he’s confident that there is enough quality in the dressing room to do just that. “The group of players here boasts so much talent and for whatever reason at the moment it is not quite working but, having spoken to people, I don’t think it is missing too much,” he continued. “If we win a few games then you’ll see us rise up the table.” Read more at http://www.swindontownfc.co.uk/news...d-to-be-back-3511486.aspx#d6j7iITKwjUrIpRz.99 Holloway will give chances to Furlong and Doughty By David McIntyre 10/01/2017 please log in to view this image Ian Holloway says Darnell Furlong and Michael Doughty will get a chance in the QPR side following their return from Swindon. Rangers boss Holloway recently recalled both players from their season-long loans at the County Ground, where they impressed for the Robins. They were cup-tied for Saturday’s defeat against Blackburn but are expected to be in the squad for Thursday’s Championship match at Reading. Furlong, 21, is seen as a potential option for the R’s at right-back, while midfielder Doughty, 24, has had seven loan spells away from Loftus Road. Holloway is keen to give both players until the end of the season to prove they are good enough to have long-term futures at QPR. “They will be getting a game – they’ve got six months to prove (themselves) to me,” said Holloway. “I personally like the pair of them. They’ll be in and around my squad and they’ll have a chance to play. They won’t be going anywhere else. “One (Doughty) has played 140 games anyway, so why has he gone out on loan? If you don’t want him, get rid of him. If not, bring him back and play him. “We’ll see. Can they step forward? Can they step to the plate?” Meanwhile, Ryan Manning, who has started Rangers’ last two league matches, is expected to feature in Thursday’s match. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/theyve-got-six-months-holloway-give-qpr-duo-chance
Not exactly sure who Holloway is impressed with...... Shame about BFG going, but if his wife and kids were in Germany you can't blame him for wanting to return home, good luck to him. Good riddance to Sandro, £15m wasted in fees and wages.......you couldn't make it up.
It would seem like it is today. Could be two in a week if Chery signs for the Chinese club! Before Polter it would have been last summer when Barnsley signed ?????
Clearly it's no longer part of a managers job to work with what he has and make the players and team better. Dave Sexton inherited a very good team from Gordon Jago, he added just Don Masson as far as I can remember. Holloway would have chucked the lot out by the look of it.
To be fair, most on here said the squad wasn't good enough or strong enough for that matter. Seems Holloway thinks the same. Just hope we get some decent players in.
QPR transfer news: Nasser El Khayati could be next to depart through Loftus Road exit door 15:30 10 January 2017 By Sean Gallagher, QPR correspondent please log in to view this image Queens Park Rangers' Nasser El Khayati QPR will listen to offers for Nasser El Khayati during this month’s transfer window. please log in to view this image The Dutch playmaker, 27, has made just nine appearances in all competitions this season, started just once in the Championship. As a result El Khayati has become increasingly frustrated over his lack of opportunities at Loftus Road, and is likely to head out of the Loftus Road exit door with two of his close allies, Sebastian Polter and Tjaronn Chery, already securing moves to Germany and China respectively, pending confirmation. Manager Ian Holloway has wasted no time on stamping his authority on his squad, already sanctioning moves for the aforementioned duo, while Ben Gladwin has moved to former club Swindon Town on loan until the end of the season. Midfield general Karl Henry has been made available for transfer after a training ground bust-up with Holloway. The Times understands Holloway is also prepared to let El Khayati leave on either a temporary or permanent basis, as the Rs prepare for another manic transfer window. At this stage the former looks the more likely, with several League One clubs sounding out the former Burton Albion man. In terms of incoming, on the Rs’ radar are Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban and Bristol Rovers front man Matty Taylor, while they are set to complete the signing of Kazenga LuaLua on loan from promotion chasing Brighton for the rest of the season. They are remain interested in signing Luke Freeman from Bristol City, despite having an initial bid turned down. http://www.kilburntimes.co.uk/sport...epart_through_loftus_road_exit_door_1_4843508
I hope it is, but with Holloway running the team, Hoos the Club, and TF leaving us to languish, looking at a bigger groundhog day in about 16 months time with a relegation to League 2 is not unimaginable at all.
