Behind closed doors friendly today, belaid got a run out so did cairney, wonder who the trialist was, presume its a left back or centre back, bradleys a cb but not sure about deagle, anyone know? interesting either way! Tigers: Mark Oxley, Trialist, Paul McShane (Joe Cooper 86), Sonny Bradley, Dean Deagle (Conor Townsend 55), Gavan Holohan, Tijani Belaid, Tom Cairney, Jamie Devitt, Danny Emerton, Jay Simpson. http://www.hullcityafc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10338~2276260,00.html
Is there any reason trialists are not revealed? You hear of players being on trial at clubs all the time, and they're usually named. We don't seem to reveal who they are until we've decided if we want to sign them up or not. My first thought was Matt Hill, although at 29 he may be too old for the NP regime. Come to think of it, he signed Nobby and Roko so it's not all youth I suppose. Nice to hear that Jay bagged a brace, too. It may be Leicester Reserves but he'll be knocking on the door soon enough.
That's a good team, Joe Cooper is Liam's brother and is a defender, Dean Deagle is presumably a left back, as he was replaced by Conner Townsend, who's definitely a left back(I was impressed with him the FA Youth Cup game), Holohan and Emerton both look good prospects. I suspect they probably lined up something like: ----------------Oxley McShane Trialist Bradley Deagle Emerton Cairney Holohan Devitt ----------Belaid Simpson Though I'm only guessing, Belaid may have been in midfield with Devitt or Emerton up front.
yeah id like to swap and change between mclean and simpson, simpson could thrive with fryatt, competition will keep it fresh. not sure, with brownie we knew whenever anyone was on trial, must be a pearson thing @originallambrettaman, is joe cooper a good prospect? ive been told he was seen as more of a prospect than liam? nice to see emerton getting a game with a strong side, can see him playing a part in the next couple of years. possibly a 4411? belaid behind simpson?
It says those with TigersPlayer will be able to see highlights on wednesday, i don't have it but maybe he'll (it's not sexist i'm assuming it's a he is it? i don't want to get sacked!) be on that and those of you who have it will spot an unfamiliar face
I can't really comment too much on Joe Cooper, I don't remember watching him other than in last weeks FA Youth Cup game, but he looked fairly decent, I think he's only about 17.
I've got TigersPlayer (as you'll have guessed by my thread rant) I'll have a look but unless it's someone I have a chance of recognising, ie Matt Hill, then there's little chance of identification.
you are aware, OLM, that you could have deleted the second comment? how many tetley's have you had today?
I tried that, it says you can, but when you click on 'delete post' it just stays there(at least mine has).
There's a bit of a whisper that the trialist might be a right back from York called Dean Lisles. We don't need a right back though.
Unless Rosenior gets moved across to LB, we've said it for a long time he's capable there. On another unrelated matter, have you seen Marney's goal?? it was only an over head kick!! unbelievable!!
wasnt that rumour going around a week or so ago? id personally not want to move rosenoir across, even if we did mcshane and solano are more than capable in this league at right back, we dont need 4 right backs thats for sure.
it had to be an over head kick.....the useless **** would ave put in row zz if he was lookin at the goal
