I assume that is supposed to say "big" time in which case, you are right. He dictates our game at times and his passing vision is excellent IMO...
In fairness that website was always accurate. Don't remember it getting any wrong and it was always first to link us to the players of which we eventually knew we had made bids to.
Knowing us, if we sell he will go on to play in the Prem and for England- Stay and we would get much of the same- For me, every player has his price. I might be tempted to cash in with a decent offer and look for another CM, one who is a bit more creative and scores goals. Another Tomlin type would be ideal.
Your opinion is your own and you're entitled to it, though I think your expectations are in the realms of being unrealistically high - it seems as though anything less than Premiership/top Championship quality should be shipped out in your view. For me I wouldn't necessarily be upset if this came to pass, but only if he were replaced by someone clearly better. As it's been said, every player has his price and if someone came along and offered in the region of £3m for him, then that would be difficult to say no to... That said, transfer rumours aren't exactly a reliable source - remember when Liam Fontaine was linked to Liverpool!
Playing devils advocate, if Pack stays who goes, or doesn't come in? General consensus is we keep Korey Smith, and we want Lee Tomlin, so then we have a toss up between Reid, Pack and Freeman before we look at new signings. Somebody has to go if we want to improve or change the centre of our midfield, unless LJ feels he can get more from what we have!!
I think we could get away with signing an extra midfielder without any of those leaving - we've currently got quite a thin squad, so having that extra depth to cover injuries/fatigue wouldn't hurt.
I think its an excellent idea. He must be worth at least 5 million. Please form an orderly queue behind that flying saucer….
