Neal Trotman has undergone knee surgery and has been ruled out for the rest of the season. The 28-year-old was released by Plymouth Argyle in the summer and earned a short-term deal at Rovers, which runs until the end of the current campaign. He has made 17+2 appearances but has not featured since a brief substitute appearance in the 1-1 draw at The Memorial Stadium against Torquay United on New Year’s Day. Neal Trotman will now miss the last six games of season but could be available for the Vanarama Conference play-offs, should Bristol Rovers be involved. http://bristolroverssc.co.uk/2015/03/23/operation-for-neal/
Lockyer will slot in should McChrystal or Parkes get injured, if we are unable to get cover before the loan window shuts. But I hope Trotman stays.
At the beginning part of the season Troters was amazing. Goliath at the back and won everything. I like him a lot and its a shame for him that we have Parks and Macca at the back as he would definitely start otherwise. Good point for him I suppose is Macca isn't getting younger or faster, so Trotman may still have a good change of starting again soon enough
