It shows what happens when a system allows one person to take too much power. It is a good thing that courts can have power to over rule politicians, but sad that it sometimes means that ordinary people have to fund the appeal to get justice.

 

Once Gorsuch is on the SCOTUS then they will have it all, including the highest court in the land. Welcome to 'Murica, land of the free.... if you're a white, heterosexual, christian, male with plenty of money in the bank.

Ironic isn't it? The "enemy" is apparently Iran... and they are bent on turning 'Murica into something similar, only with a protestant bible as the book of choice. They are dominionists. We should be afraid. Very afraid.

Not really Trump-related, but I suspect there are similarities in their thought processes...

 

Maybe Trump is just what we need in the world at the moment. Four years of hell but a serious lesson learnt by many.

I mean things were bad before Trump. A country who thought Palin should be in a position of power!!!!

Further if you look at the other Republican candidates they were not very appealing to anyone with half a brain.

Perhaps it needs to get worse to get better.

There is an awful lot of that particular error on twitter, I'm never sure if it's due to poor education or saving a character because of the 140 constriction!

 

In order to balance the picture a little here. Whilst Trump is obviously a sexist, racist idiot who also doesn't believe in global warming. Whilst he also has absolutely no idea about the EU. whatsoever, and, and , and. All is not doom and gloom. Whilst he does not want Moslems to visit the USA, he is, at the same time, less likely to bomb them in their own homelands, which must count for something. He is a return to a much older tradition of American politics - isolationist, non interventionist, and less likely to get America involved in foreign wars than Hillary Clinton would have been. Less likely to use drones than Obama was. I do not think that the American invasion of Iraq would have been possible under him - he has said, repeatedly, that it was a mistake. I can also understand raising tariffs on Chinese goods to protect American jobs - I can also understand 'punishing' American firms who relocate overseas. I have nothing against this type of trade protectionism - would you want British workers placed in direct competition with those in China ? This buffoon of a man could actually make the World safer.
