Two different sides to the same story re McLaren

No, I think he's doing a good job. It won't be popular, but we had to put a brake on spending on transfer fees and wages. Whether the JFH appointment works out is in some doubt though.

 

The real truth of it is none of us actually know the extent of SLF's role so how we can speak with absolute authority as to how good a job he is doing is beyond me. Basically we can't, so to feel passionately about wanting him out is just ludicrous and ill-considered. The team is going through an iffy patch so many people will seek out any perceived problems with the club that they can. We finally have cleared the decks of all of the big time Charlie's (aside from our Brazilian EFL Cup specialist) and now have that young hungry squad we've desired for so long. What people are not accepting is that with the reduction in spending what we gain in youth and hunger we lose a little on the technical ability of the players. Upshot is we are going to lose a fair few games, the same as most teams in this division. I think we need a little more patience than some of us are willing to show at present. There is potential in this squad but we can't expect them to be world beaters and with it being only 7 games in, so much can still happen.

 

Yeah, wasn't he a striker as well? What does he know about defending? And with 2 strikers in charge, did they expect to be able to see an attacking team or something? We're no exactly bearing that fruit

 

Isn't it obvious what SLF's role is? He is the eyes and ears while TF is not in London.
Does our squad look hungry to you? Not to me, they're not. They have looked like they didn't listen to instruction, not understood the instruction, or didn't care for the formation or the tactics in a fair few games. I'm not asking them to be world beaters but be a bit more adaptable and have a slight more cognizance in defending.

 

SLF is a little touched
TF has to be the worse business man of recent times
SMc is a coach and not a manger
Bruce has a bent nose and would need a new squad
