Absolutely, the points we get between now and January, will determine what sort of platform we have, and what our strategy should be in the second half of the season. It is still all to play for, but obviously, the task is getting harder without that first win. We need to do a Stoke and soon.

Stoke and West Ham were unlikely to be mixing it in the relegation places for long to be honest. Stoke have got a generally solid defence and some real quality up front, they're both midtable sides.

Hull are in free-fall so you just need to finish above 2 out of about 5 dodgy teams. They've got a bit of a head start on you but 2 good games and it's all different.

My point, badly put as usual, was we need back to back wins, a la Stoke, and soon, to give us any chance at all, I agree with you about Stoke by the way, on their day they can beat anybody, but a few injuries to key players is all it takes for any team in the bottom half to go into free fall in this league. Nil Desperandum Auspice Deo.
