Manchester United are weighing up a move for Hull left-back Andrew Robertson but Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham have also been watching the 21-year-old Scotland international. (Daily Star)
With the new TV deal i can see him going this summer. The top clubs will be able to stock pile even more players, i hope we get £20 million for him like Southampton seem to get for their players
Er what? The more money we have the less need we have to sell, and the more even the competition becomes.
The lure of the big clubs as you know is very strong. Im not sure how long he's got left on his contract but im sure the big bucks that may be on offer may be to much to refuse
Promotion will be the key to keeping Robbo for another season. If we fail he could let his contract run down and leave on a free Summer 2017! I suspect that if a deal is done and he goes, lets hope he's loaned back for a season. If Arsene wants him, then with Brucey openly admitting he would like Hayden and Akpom on permanent contracts, that would appear to put Arsene potentially in the driving seat? All if's, but's and maybe's. Let's hope we get promotion, he signs a new improved deal (if the club gets it's finger out), stays and he continues his development with City
In the league match away there last season i was sat in the posh seats and all the Arse fans around me were waxing lyrical about him when he was down our side.
With all this interest they should be signing him up now with a £20 mill release clause. Are we that savvy enough to do that???
I think it shows the ambition of Bruce that he thinks Akpom and Haydyn have long term futures at our club. !!!!! I think Robbie will go and good luck to him…. just hope that Josh Tymon can fill the void and maybe go back to Dundee United for the other lad they're lauding about.
Depends whether he wants to sit warming a bench in the dressing room or play football and improve. If it is the former bang £30 mill price tag on him but he seems a sensible lad who wants to play football and would only go somewhere that will give him that week after week, still bang the same price on him though.
Players know that 'bench warming' at a really big club is a fact of life, the size of squads and the need for being competitive in all competitions dictates this. Robertson, like all young pro's, aspires to play at the highest level possible. We shouldn't be po-faced about him leaving, we'll enjoy him while we've got him, when he leaves (and he will) we should wish him well, take pride in how we've improved his game and, hopefully, get a ****ing fat fee for him.
Cheers but I dont think it's anything to do with being ITK, as with most cases it's just what's been reported in the media. So with this being the case a player swap deal would be better for us rather than straight cash.
