Although we have all become familiar with the new site, I wondered if some sort of User Guide might be useful for new members, especially the less technical minded. With this is mind I have made an attempt at a draft. It may be no use at all but I'm happy for it to be ripped to shreds if it helps to get one off the ground. It hasn't been easy because some things are of no interest and some options are available from all over the place. So, rightly or wrongly, I've focused on the basics to get people up and running. It was initially produced in a Word document and, as I'm not a Word expert, I haven't been able to do anything fancy (eg automatic creation of a Contents and Index). Version 1 is available here Comments welcomed. If this, or something similar, is to be taken forward and adopted as a site wide user guide it will need enhancing to a more professional standard (eg with automatic contents and index section), but for now this is all that is available.
