Once again it's one of those lower league teams and what could possibly go wrong posts. We are top playing away to the team that is bottom. On paper it should be a walk in the park. We are unbeaten in a shed load of games and should in theory walk the game. Then there is the curse that's sod's law. We are going to lose a game at some point and it would be sod's law it will be this one. New manager and not only that but one of my hated few in managerial terms. Graham bleddy Westley who teaches his sides to moan and groan all day long and lay on the pitch whinging. I can only hope that we can still prevail despite the mass of things against.
This thread has been up for a couple of days now. It has apparently had 30 views according to the stats thingy. Despite that nobody seems to have a comment to make. Are you that worried?????
6pts clear at the top at half-time......1-0 up and playing against ten men with Bittner now in goal....if we don't win this I'll be flabbergasted.
Plymborm, please, what did I just say? This IS Argyle we're talking about. Playing 4:4:2 now apparently, presumably Spencer and Slew up front.
"Always look on the bright side of life de dum..... de dum..... de dum de dumde dum" or not in our case.
Doesn't time pass slowly between the awarding of a PAFC penalty and the result of the appearing on the internet... “Time passes. Listen. Time passes. Come closer now. Only you can hear the houses sleeping in the streets in the slow deep salt and silent black, bandaged night.”
I couldn't help thinking about that opening bit of Under Milk Wood while I was waiting for the penalty to be taken. I did it in English Lit and have never forgotten it. Had to just take the slightest peek to ascertain the exact words of course....
“It is spring, moonless night in the small town, starless and bible-black, the cobbledstreets silent and the hunched courters'-and-rabbits' wood limping invisible down to the sloeblack, slow, black, crowblack, fishingboat-bobbing sea.”
I keep checking the time and I swear it's gone back a few minutes. Give Newport credit. Down to 10 and on the radio you would not think so by the commentry. Westley going purple and arguing for every decision going as he does. With luck he might explode.
I think it's probably safe now to pass on this factoid... User Actions Following please log in to view this image Plymouth Argyle News@HeraldPAFC As it stands, Argyle will equal a club record by recording a sixth straight away win, for the first time since 1929
