    Koeman believes Victor...not his fault if Victor has now come out and said that he misunderstood what was being claimed. Note that Ron says he spoke to Wanyama this morning...things have moved on a bit since then. Still only boils down to a player batting his eyelids...this has been true of a lot of players....would have died down by now if the waters hadn't got muddied.

    As Vic pointed out the article doesn't say that he spoke to Arsene, he misread it, the same as many others have done. It is a fact that that he hasn't spoken to Arsene or Vice versa. Arsene like many other managers have spoken ABOUT him, and no doubt like others would like to sign him if he was available, which as it stands at the moment, he definitely isn't.

    I doubt he believes him. Koeman is just protecting a player he manages. Every manager would do the same. Even Rodgers did it with Sterling and that was a bigger mess up. Koeman is not bullshitting in a way, he is just trying to move the situation on. We don't need Wanyama getting abuse from the crowd while we are fighting for a Europa place.

    Apparently a representative of Wanyama's agent was in with Wanyama when he met Koeman. So he has had his hand slapped.

    The crowd don't usually abuse players....we tend to try and be encouraging if we want them to stay...Morgan didn't get picked on and he actually came out on twitter as if his life had been destroyed.

    How did you interpret this statement?
    “Arsenal are a great club and I’d love to play Champions League football"

    It could be taken to read that he would like to play CL with Arsenal, but it doesn't.

    Edit: Crikey, 5 pages. You all know how this game works by now. Did those words leave Vic's mouth at some point ? Probably. Does he hate it here and want to leave in the summer Dejan style? Nope. Does he love all things Saints and want to be the next Le Tiss? Nah. Does he want to have a successful career and move to a club like Arsenal if the opportunity is available? Sure, but guess what, all of our players do.
