From my time supporting City, Garry Parker would be the best for me. Although time and the rose tinted shades of youth might hype that in my memory.
He is certainly up there, apart from when he was obviously going through his difficult time, he has been very consistent.
I don't think we have had a decent midfielder playing consistantly well at the top level. He was turgid when we went down last season, but I think this year hes had his best season compared with his first. Technically hes poor, but hes a modern day midfielder with a brilliant engine and a great tackler. In my short time watching Hull, I hold Ashbee, Rowcastle (breif) and Huddlestone in higher esteem.
Huddlestone and Ashbee. They're completely different, but at the same time just as effective. Oh for the two together...
Didn't watch Hull too often myself, but Peter Sterling followed by Knocker were the best. Never a Lee Crooks fan.
Since there has yet been a nomination for Jimmy Bullard, it just may be! please log in to view this image
Might be stretching it a bit to say best ever but he was very good for us and underrated, or at least I thought he was before this thread. Okocha was a midfielder right? And Snodgrass? If we're talking out and out centre midfielders then yeah I guess Jake, Tom and Ashbee are up there for different reasons.
Boateng, Geovanni, Garcia, Barmby, although more attacking midfielders than Jake but all more creative
When on form , we are a completely different team- last Saturday he just ran the game , I also think his display in the 6-0 against Fulham a few years back is the best single display I've ever seen from a city player , just wish it could have been a bit more consistent over the years
