Should the teams playing before we meet Fleetwood take FULL advantage.... The table will look like this, THE FIRST TIME SINCE 6th September we are not in the top 2 (saving grace a game in hand ) 1 MK Dons .......... 26 29 54 2 Swindon......... 26 27 54 3 Bristol City....... 25 26 54 4 Preston............ 26 14 47 5 Chesterfield.... 26 2 38 6 Fleetwood....... 27 0 37 7 Rochdale......... 25 12 37 8 Bradford....... 25 3 36 9 Sheff Utd ...... 24 2 36 10 Notts County.... 26 0 35 11 Port Vale ....... 27 -4 35 12 Doncaster ..... 25 -3 35 13 Oldham....... 25 -2 34 13 Doncaster ..... 25 -3 35 As I mentioned a week or so ago we have a hard run in, only Yeovils looks to be harder
So we beat Fleetwood and have a 3 point lead at the top - at this stage everyone has to play everyone again apart from about 2 teams (Scunny and Notts Co for us)
Surely any team that has to play us has a hard run in. What we know for sure is that there are no automatic wins in this league and Swindle, MKD and City will slip up along the way. It's gonna be nail biting stuff but with games against Swindle and MKD to come, our destiny is in our own hands.
JGF, that's if MKD win, but **** me you like to spread dread and glum with your statistics. Well here's a good one we win every game remaining and we go up its simples. Stop spreading panic all the time or are you a Gashead?
Gets your tickets, then get your bums up to MK with the thousands of reds cheering us on to 3 points, massive massive three points up for grabs, big big game. Every city fan that wants one will get a ticket.
Scunthorpe beat mk midweek then Mk lose to Crewe and Sheff Utd beat Swindon by two goals we will go into Sundays game verses Fleetwood top.
MK Dons next 5 games consist of 4 away matches and home to the City. Lets see where they are after that. Come what may City must beat Fleetwood next Saturday and three games in 6 days worries me. So I suppose some will be rested against Gillingham.
Don't panic, don't panic! how many more times do I have to say it, Bristol City will be Champions of League One!!!
Don't panic, don't panic! how many more times do I have to say it, Bristol City will be Champions of League One!!! NOT PANICKING Skin of our teeth, I am still only 90% sure of Cotts, and the City management We do have a reasonable team, one of the top 6 in the division, but points from teams around us are the most important and so far Swindlers 16 from 24 MKD 14 from 24 CITY 9 from 21 Sheff 10 from 24 PNE 8 from 24 that's why its all getting tight at the top
How have we got the harder run in? We've played everyone once and Scunthorpe and Notts County twice (won both games against them) . So how can you decide who's got the harder run in when all teams have only just played every once? We've all got to play them all again bar one or two.
Cant help the calendar- If we didn't play again until May, we would be about 15th- then with a load of games in hand we would move up the table- What matters is where we are at the end of 46 games. I do worry that with games coming thick and fast that we may not press home full advantage. We play Tuesday/Saturday/Tuesday all at home shortly.9 points might be asking a lot
ROD rather than a team from top then from bottom we have I think 7 games against teams likely to be fighting, for the top 6, 4 away 2 home and home v Coventry who could be fighting for "either" to end March we have Yeovil away and Barnsley home
So has virtually every other team got to play each other again. All this negativity about doom and gloom we've got the hardest run in bollocks is crap. What if Barnsley and Yeovile are relegated by then or even worse safe. If we go third this weekend, we go third but seeing as we have games in hand plus have to play first and second it could all change again. Are you Red Robins dad?
