With it being reported in the Evening News that Technical Director Ricky Martin & Recruitment chiefs Lee Darnborough & Tony Spearing are reportedly set to leave the club, could this be a sign that Webber has begun to wield the axe starting with the back-room staff? http://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/spor...eportedly-set-to-leave-norwich-city-1-4973654 Next step: The deadwood in the 1st team? Bassong, Whittaker, Turner........
Webber has said he intends to end our Transfer Troubles, perhaps this is the beginning The Evening News yesterday reported him as saying “Maybe this season is a combination of a few seasons, as an outsider looking in and it’s very difficult to judge as an outsider because you don’t know what’s gone on,” the 33-year-old said. “I don’t know what’s gone on within the walls at the stadium or the training ground, and I’d never try and guess or be disrespectful of that because sometimes things happen behind closed doors which people don’t know about and you can never maybe talk about. “I think the point that this football club has got to now is probably the result of three or four bad transfer windows and I think we’ve reached a tipping point and have got to turn that around. “That’s as a complete outsider, no one has said that to me and that’s just an opinion formed on me following every club. It’s my job to know what other clubs do because Norwich City were a competitor, and that’s probably what I’d put it down to.” I like this Guy, he seems to be in touch with the fans and speaks sense, lets hope the board allow him to do his job properly.
I predict you'll get 100% agreement with that statement (unless someone on the Board is a 'lurker!!!'
Webber's comments remind me of Lambert. Comes straight in, no nonsense, says what he thinks, wants drastic changes. I like it when these kind of people join our club McNally was another of those types.
Not saying he'll get every decision correct but how refreshing to see some decisiveness, as opposed to the current board who watch, dither and fiddle while their little empire has been collapsing around their ears
Absolutely FML and as Jedi said earlier, let's hope the Board back his decisions, but don't interfere!!!
Lee Darnborough, who came with a bad rap from Burnley fans when he joined us, has had plenty of time in the post and achieved next to nothing. Why did we bother when he has this on his CV https://www.clubcall.com/burnley/alleged-email-begged-agents-for-help-1757773.html Ricky Martin has been living la vida loca for years, and progressed from assistant academy director up to technical director - with not one shred of tangible evidence as to how or why he's made all this progress. (I wonder if he was Delia's other nephew, by chance, Tom's brother, to have been shown all this favouritism? ) Well played Stuart Webber, especially so soon after his appointment. Fingers crossed that their replacements are of a far higher calibre

Hooray!!!! Spearing snd Darnborough have been utterly useless! Aside from one or two players, they have failed over and over to identify the right players for us. We never looked like holding on to Premier League status with these guys in charge of scouting and recruitment!!! Utter tripe... well done Webber!!!!
During Ricky's time we have gone category 1, had the Murphy's come through and won the FA youth cup. Not all his doing I'm sure. But these would appear tangibly linked to his roles. Just because his work is not given fanfare doesn't mean that some of it wasn't good. I don't know whether he was any good. But I don't know he was wholly bad either Bah!
