Totally agree with this. When you look at the table 8th - 18th especially, there's not much in it. We've been crap away from home all season and just as bad at home before Silva came and we STILL have a chance to stay up. Thats whats annoying about our possible relegation... this team has what it takes to be a mid-table team but with what happened pre-season we were destined for failure..
Phelan lost at home to MUFC, Arsenal, CFC and Man Hunter. He also lost to Stoke. MS has only had LFC of the leading teams to play at home. Apart from that they've been relatively easy teams. Still any excuse to rubbish an ex manager eh?
You really are a ****ing moron with ridiculous double standards. Every chance you've had to belittle Eldin's performances this season you have taken, I notice you've given up on that one mind. Stop trying so hard.
It's a straw man argument anyway, Phelan threw away loads of home wins like Palace, Everton and West Brom whereas Silva only had one blemish before Sunderland, the draw with Burnley. Plus that Stoke game was an abomination and even Silva's worst away defeat (Everton 4-0, and that with 10 men) doesn't come close to the 6-1 tonking by ****ing Bournemouth, with the full 11!
The post said we were rubbish at home under Phelan. I pointed out the quality of the opposition we had here in the first half of the season. I won't even go into the minor details about MP's lack of backroom staff, assistants etc as the point was purely a comparison of home records under MP and MS.
Aye they were all 'cheap' signings apart from Odubajo as we were in the champ at the time. Bruce is brilliant at wheeling and dealing. Can add Boyd, Quinn to that list too When he's given the chance to push to boat out, he often ****s up. Ramirez, Abel, Ben Arfa, Proschwitz
The thing is about our away form: - Man Utd hit post in last minute - Arsenal that incident with Gibbs taking Markovic out the game nothing happened - Chelsea first goal offside, then Swarbrick failed to give stonewall penalty after Hernandez fouled There's a few possible points extra there, Arsenal and Chelsea down to officials cheating. It was Swarbrick who failed to give the penalty again on Saturday for O'Shea clearly leading with his hand.
We've lost 9 points to Sunderland and Boro haven't we??? That Boro away game under Phelan - never in my life have I watched us play without any sense of a plan or tactics as that match. Boro were dreadful yet beat us easily.
His away game win against Swansea though, with barely a first team squad and a bench of youngsters, has proved to be pivotal to our survival as things have turned out. Nothing wrong with his tactics there!
The thing is, it's about consistency, and Phelan wasn't getting it right consistently enough. Marco hasn't got it right all of the time, but he's been more consistent be it mainly home games, and that is proven in his points tally.
Don't forget Wet Spam, dominated the game, Mbokani hit the post, celebrated then realised he'd hit the post. Then, wait for it, a dodgy penalty. I still say that's one of the worst performances I've ever seen. It's on a par with Hateley's reign. But the Swansea game was an amazing result. I'm sure their fans are wining about it like we do about the Boro game.
He has a big handbag??? and still has to carry his phone in his hand. The black jumper could be his wife's dress, and he has short sleeves over long ones. Not stylish at all.
