Ron are you over for next week's game. slasher guy and blue soldier are travelling by train from Banbury and stopping off at wycombe for a few beers on route.it would be good to meet up again if you can make it.
Hi Rocky. Trying to organise things so that I can get over. If I come I'll be driving down from Wellingborough, having dropped off my wife there. What tickets will we be getting. Should I transfer some money so all tickets can be bought together?
Plans finalised and ferry booked. I'm coming over on Friday morning and driving to my son's in Wellingborough. Leaving wife there to baby sit as my son and missus are on a pre-booked mountain climbing holiday in Wales. Will drive down Sat morning (need to finalise that bit). I'll be going back Sunday afternoon (wife following on Tuesday). Wembley here we come. What should I do about booking ticket?
How many tickets do you think Wycombe will sell? Reason I ask is that Wembley is a big place and you are unlikely to sell half a stadium so there are bound to be seats together somewhere unsold if necessary. We took 35000 back the last time and there were seats empty everywhere. I will be watching the game unfold, don't let me down now will you.
The top tier will be closed I would have thought we have been allocated 21,816 Southend would be about the same half full at most I did hear that last years league two play off had 14,000 I am probably wrong. I for one can not make it already had a holiday booked for Whitsun week I would think there is a few more who would have gone but are away. I see today Middlesborough & Norwich have been allocated about 38,000 each does'nt look like Wembley are planning to fill it for this game either.
Not like the old days when Wycombe played Bishop Aukland in the Amateur Cup Final in front of a 90,000 crowd.
I remember the last time against Preston we had loads more fans than them maybe cos they are from the north. Ron tucker ordered my ticket Friday we are behind the goal left side at the back from my experience last time we will be able to sit where we want.
That's kind of what I thought Rocky. For the Championship game there will be corporate seating which sort of gets a bit less needed as you go down the pile. We don't get out much down this way so expect was why on our big day out we had so many. We played Darlington from up north and they had about 8000. The ground looked kind of odd with green swamping most of it. Mind you most of the 35000 disappeared come kick off for the next season. We went back down again as well. But, it's a hell of a day out if you win so you have to go if you can.
Anyone wanting tickets Tickets are ONLY available online via Ticketmaster OR over the phone on 0844 847 1535 (calls cost 6p per min plus standard network charges, mobile rates may vary). There will be NO tickets available over the counter at the Wycombe Wanderers Ticket Office for this match.
Looking forward to it fellas. Not quite sure what to expect, but then again i was pessimistic for our chances against Plymouth. Southend are quite a strong outfit. We beat them comfortable at home, but the sending off helped a lot. AT their place we were a bit fortunate to escape with a point. However, i have faith that Ainsworth will have the team revved up and will have done his homework. One thing i have learnt this season is that we always see a commited display from an Ainsworth team, so you cant ask for more than that! COYB
Even my wife, who isn't that interested in football, could see that Wycombe were really up for it against Plymouth.
