West Bromwich Albion are discussing an ambitious £22million double move on QPR's Charlie Austin and Matt Phillips.
Manager Tony Pulis has money to spend and although Austin's price tag of £15m has put other clubs off, Pulis is ready to test QPR's resolve.
Newcastle and West Ham are also interested in Austin and considered more viable options but both believe his price is too high for a player with one year left on contract.

Sell, sell, sell. And throw in Caulker on a no return basis.

Good deal for us but very sad day indeed.
We'll be for the double drop if TF (or RG?) takes austerity too far.

Sounds like a good deal...let's just hope that money is reinvested in 4 or 5 good (ideally young) players who will be the base of our Championship side until our return.

Could be the time to cash in considering that Austin may never have a better goal scoring season and Philips has only had a good final six months. This is probably as much as we would ever get for them again.

Austin is good for at least £ 15M, and I think we can get more than £ 7 M, perhaps £ 10 to 12 million for Phillips if the Club keep cool heads, there is absolutely no hurry to sell him.. We'd be letting our players go for give away prices again.

Price is getting close, if could add a sell on clause then maybe worth accepting so can get replacements in asap.

Snap your hands off for that deal

Selling a player in Phillips who's only had 4 months of reasonable football is a great deal on our behalf.

It would be very sad to see them go, but for that price I would take it, and wish them both well
    ....and move on.

Good money and the opportunity to go to a 'glamour' club like WBA. Everyone's a winner.

That's a good combined price. I'd take it straight away - it reduces the number of what ifs considerably.

Surprised so many want to see these two players go?
Agree there is a good chance we will lose both (Esp Charlie) but surely the best result would be to try and keep them.
Charlie scores goals, lots of them and people want to lose a player like that for a bit of money?

West Brom is a boring nothing club that just makes up the Premiership numbers, so it would surprise me if Charlie couldn't do better.

I'd love to see them stay...but particularly for Charlie, I just can't see him staying. Therefore, I'm just glad we will get a decent price for him instead of another club getting him on the cheap.

Dont want to lose either of them obviusly, but being realistic this is probably about the best price we can hope for so would take it ...............but with a heavy heart and best wishes to both players.
