Sunderland, suffering more than most by Africa Cup of Nations call-ups, hope to end a run of four winless matches against West Bromwich Albion. Despite last Saturday’s defeat by Spurs the hosts are worthy of a top eight place and buoyed by the signing of Jake Livermore. David Moyes: "We've made some mistakes recently and I'm finding it difficult to change any of the players around, because we don't have that. "Normally I would say if you're going to make that level of mistake then you won't play but we've not got the resources at the moment to change that round. "So the players get that chance again, but we don't want repeated mistakes, that's for sure." "I'm not sure if anyone will be back. There was only a chance with Steve Pienaar and Victor Anichebe." Tony Pulis: "It will be a tough game. I have great respect for David (Moyes), he's a top manager and they have great support wherever they go. "Sunderland have got players who can hurt you. Jermain Defoe's goals speak for themselves and Fabio Borini is back fit. "We can't take anything for granted in the Premier League. When you do, that's when it turns round and kicks you." Match Appointments: Referee: Craig Pawson Assistants: S Long, S Massey-Ellis Fourth official: C Kavanagh West Brom have lost just one of their last 14 league matches against Sunderland (D5, L8). West Brom are a good side these days and this is going to be a tough game. Most of the pundits are predicting an easy home win but I'm going for a plucky 2-1 away win. John O'Shea making his 175th Premier League appearance - a club record Ha’way the lads.
Home win. We always struggle against West Brom(No previous results @RTB ?) We certainly don't win many. This is one I just want out the way and be glad it's not in our final run of fixtures. 3-1 to West Brom.
Reckon we'll get humped today, that midfield is weak as piss. Never really seem to get the better of Pulis and his teams so I'm expecting a loss.
Hate this type of game. Its disheartening to see all these ****y clubs progressing, while safc are stagnant at best. To have little faith in getting a result at places like wba is ****. Total clusterfuck.
West Brom away should always be a good chance to get points but I just don't see us getting anything out of this, we just don't have any strength in defence or midfield.
Can't help feeling that we'll give them a goal start within 5 mins. Still, that'll be 85 mins to turn it around.
