Spurs have a difficult fixture list for January so we could end the month above them because of this win and the clear determination to grind out a win that has developed within the squad in the last month or so. Let's hope Spurs lose at Chelsea in their next game - that will set up a real fight for the top four.
The RS are crying like pussies. First they've thrown away 2 points at Sunderland and wondering whether the title delusion is over. And then they are crying about United catching them up, with kloppyflop impotent to change things. They are crying blue murder about the ref but yet they ignored the ref ruling a perfectly good goal by Zlatan #kloppyflop #fear
Nope I understand that anyone looking at the league table knows we're 10 points off the top. The question you asked, you do remember? Do keep up
Another Important win for us, Not a great performance but understandable given the fact we've played 2 games in 2 days.
Not our immediate priority. We need to get into top 4 first, then once we're in the mix, we will see. It's no different to what I posted on the first page of this thread although that was before our win today.
Not at the moment. United cannot catch Chelsea. But later if United come within 3-5 points in April/may I think then we could catch Chelsea
Don't you love the ****ing English press? Barely 2 months ago, every single pundit in the media was rolling out the statistic that United under Mourinho had their worse points tally in the premiership after x matches etc . And that United having spent hundred of millions weren't going anywhere. Now every one is creaming over JM and how clever he ****ing is Totally ignoring the fact that the results had not been reflecting the performances and once these (Burnley, Everton and Arsenal results come to mind) were corrected United would be closer to a top 4 challenge. We are not there yet but United should be able to meet a faltering RS team in the next match with more confidence.
another game against United, another farcial refereeing performance, those two seem to go together like bacon and eggs. I'm pleased with our performance though, even though we lost 0-2, the manner of it might fire us up enough to actually play well for a few games as, atm, only Hull and Swansea are worse than us. I think the only shock I've ever had against United is when Dicanio scored and the ref let it stand.
I was gutted in the first half when West Ham went down to 10 men and the predictable slow pace by United. I thought with West Ham playing their normal game this was a win for us. Rashford made the difference in the end but I didn't think West Ham were going to get anything from this game even with 11. We'll never know
Rooney isn't even getting a mention from the press or manager at the minute. I think the squad functions better when the whole Rooney issue isn't a factor for consideration.
I doubt we would've gotten anything if we'd put our whole squad on the pitch tbh, we're playing as badly as we ever have, on par with us under Grant.
Mike Dean is a ****. He's actually one of the better refs around but his desperation to be the centre of attention drives him to make bad decisions and put himself under pressure. Gary Nev enjoyed nailing him to the wall yesterday.
