Been in and out of hospital lately and feeling grisly (peritonitis) so youtube has been a good companion. Always loved this George Duke track, but this live version from Montreux jazz festival is on another level. Not everyone's cuppa, but if you like salsa / samba / latin rhythms, (which I do very much), worth a spin
My grandmother (paternal) died from peritonitus the day after a visit from the doctor who told her she was a lazy woman and should get out of bed and look after the house!
That's truly disgraceful Sorry to hear that. Jeez, imagine the pain the poor woman must have been in. After the last few days I've had of constant pain, no sleep or food and various other grimness, I can semi-imagine what she went through Fortunately, major advances have been and continue to be made in diagnosing and treating many illnesses. Often identified much earlier than a decade or two ago. Just sort cancer out next you medical and research gurus edit : I hope the bastard was struck off the medical register.
Played at the end of the last Twin Peaks episode I watched. I adored it instantly. Beautiful, haunting, melodic.
No matter how many times I have listened to this. Been a while since the last time I did. As soon as it starts. My god. It is just so perfectly beautiful and sad. Makes my chest feel heavy and like there's a lump in my throat. Just perfectly stunning.
I adore British Sea Power. They are such an amazing band. I've seen them live about 6 times since the early days. They have always had this amazing sound. I think they just keep getting better and better with experience. This is such a good example of how good they are: If you like that, this is the first song I heard from them that made me instantly fall in love with them.
