Top thread. Here's my two penneth worth. Aged 43. Born in Rome, Italy to a Kiwi Mother but adopted in Great Portland Street to an English Dad and Irish Mum. Brought up on Dewhurst Road off Shepherds Bush Road and went to Sacred Heart on the Broadway and then Latymer on King Street. It was obviously going to be Rangers for me. Lived West London most of my life - started in Hammersmith, first flat in Harlesden and now in Northfields in Ealing. Two kids, both girls, aged six and one. First Rangers game was Qpr vs Coventry I think around 1976, 77. We won 5 - 1, Coventry had a poo brown away kit and someone scored a hat trick (Clive Allen i think). Work in Chiswick for a Swedish TV Broadcaster. Best game was probably the OBZ winner...cant be topped for unbridled emotion. Although the Wigan game prior to that was right up there. Oldest daughter quite likes going to the footy... i do need to have Peppa Pig on standby on my phone however.... I really, really love the Rangers. I just wish we were a bit better!
You don't sit in X block near the front BigChaz....I was there last season, and the guy in front of me was trying to interest his girl in PeppaPig on the phone....yes it was that boring!
I'm right at the back in R block (by the TV gantry)so the other end from you. However, I suspect you could replicate the image of Dad's desperately trying to placate disinterested daughters with phones a hundred fold on any given match day! Apart from the occasional bored daughter in tow you'd probably also be able to recognise me by my awful swearing and my diminutive stature. Despite the fact my moniker on here is Big Chaz I am, hilariously, extremely small.
Nines Sorry, I couldn't seem to find this site yesterday so I am answering your question only now It is London Ontario, where I live.
Would have bumped this earlier but I didn't know how Just a little something for the many newbies to look at and maybe some of the rest of us have jobs wife kids (alright grandkids) etc Thanks for the Google knowledge 9s Now I have an extra 13 pages to reread
I've changed jobs 3 times since then, given up on my Maths course, don't think I've kicked a football since and my pool team disbanded shortly before the pub closed (allthough will soon reopen). Amidst all the inaccuracies, at least I have only aged 4 years which is one better than SB!
Hi mate. I also lived in DB between 94 and late 96 and was also at that England game (wearing the view from dark blue shirt funnily enough) Have we had this conversation before?
Fascinating reading back over 4 years or so. Many old posters been and gone and other regulars still going strong. Only changes for me since posting in 2012 are my redundancy went through and I now work for Addison Lee and I now have another 2 grandsons who ran me ragged on Margate beach yesterday...
Depressing. I'm still doing the same **** over greater hours for a lesser reward, whilst there are a few different snouts at the trough. Neither Miss Lawrence nor Miss Johansson have come a-calling yet, so am continuing to play happy families with Mrs Uber and the three Uberlets.
I don't know if I ever wrote on this thread but here goes... (Again if applicable) What do you all do for a living - Programme/ Project Manager in a bank What age are you - can never remember but wife tells me I'm 44, 45 on 28th And whereabouts do you live - born in Southall, grew up in Hayes, moved to Milton Keynes when 17, in my 30's lived in Paris for year and Perth (Scotland unfortunately, not Australia) for a year both with work Back in MK now. Kids 2 - boy 14 who at early age thought he could support Chelsea like his mate(never going to happen) but now feels our pain as a QPR supporter but knows he is proper supporter not glory hunter! Girl 12 - plays football but no interest in watching whatsoever and mutters those ridiculous words when I'm annoyed after a loss of "it's only a game!!" Aaarrrggghhhh
its a thread I meant to put back up every off season but I couldn't find it using the search facility thanks to nines for putting up how to do it
