You couldn't beat the ZX81 with it's amazing 1K of memory...... until you moved onto the ZX Spectrum that gave you an amazing 48K (once you plugged in the ram pack). Oh, and the joysticks that snapped the first time you tried to win the 100 metres in Daley Thompson's Decathlon!!!

A lot of the games on the 8 bit systems were tough because you had to use your brains. Head Over Heels, Dizzy etc
