Same month I was born in. Chlling to think of how I see him as past it but look at myself as someone still waiting for his big break in football...

Had a Spectrum 48k, then 128k and finally an Atari ST. Loved all the games mentioned but my favourite was probably The Secret of Monkey Island or Loom - like advanced versions of Dizzy (which I also enjoyed).

As for the music I think everyone thinks their generations music was the "last good decade", you just have to remind yourself that your parents will have said exactly the same about what you were listening to. In fairness children of the 80's probably had parents of the 60's and no decade can compete to that!!

Lots of music and shagging, I was 18 in 1980 so it was a great decade for me, went to Reading Festival, Donnington Monsters of Rock and so on, played in bands and toured with bands as a roadie for a while as well, my best pal at the time was head of the Leeds Uni Ents Committee so used to go down there and stage crew for the bands. Left home at this time and for most of the decade I was in Manchester, football took a back seat most of this time, the only time I went to Maine Road was to see Pink Floyd!!
