    They won last year though, so crazy that the seeding committee didn't give them a ranking at all. Really impressed with Kontinen...some of his shots were unbelievable. Let's hope it goes to 3 sets.

    Garbine Muguruza!! The New Ladies Wimbledon Champion!! By my reckoning, she is the first South American born player to win it since Maria Bueno. Very old ones on here will remember that name.

    Certainly not you, Chilco!!!! I should have said the more mature guys that have been around since the 50s!!! And remember, standing in the Archers Road on a blazing September afternoon, witnessing Terry Paine slinging those crosses for Ron Davies to head in.

    I actually think Maria Bueno won Wimbledon the very first year I can remember watching it in the early 60's.

    Murray/Hingis won mixed doubles final in straight sets. Some good play from Watson and partner, but they failed to take break points too often.
