Prawn curry, aubergine curry, sag aloo, naan, tamarind chutney, raita, salad. The only thing I didn't make was the poppadoms as I can't be arsed with the skin grafts.

    Wine.

Very nice working dinner with some old friends/hopefully future business partners.

Now have to finish the wine.

Which is chicken cooked in sherry with garlic and bay. Made a broad bean pilaf to go with it, was really nice.

On the outdoor wood over tonight we have slow cooking chicken with red wine, sabrosada, pimento, garlic, thyme and a rich plum tomato sauce. Additional liquid in the form of Green Mahou will be added to the chef at regular intervals throughout the cooking period, thereafter he will be basted for 4 hours in red wine as the whole country watches AM v RM. Salut

A fry up and 6 pints of Carling.

The breakfast of champions (back in the 70's and 80's).

Funnily enough, a decent British fry-up is still the thing I miss the most :(

So my homebrew San Miguel was a success, cracked one open yesterday and it's really nice.

Because of that I've ordered a new kit of Cooper's Pale Ale which I'm going to start off next weekend.

I still haven't got round to it, I really ought to.

Was thinking I'd do the Coopers one as my starter, it came as part of a package I saw on line.

I will try mine next weekend although the advice was that it would be best after two months in the bottle.

Just got mine off Amazon with some brew enhancer that was recommended. The San Miguel is surprisingly nice plenty of fizz and nice and clear, it's deffo 5.5+% quite bitter, it reminds me more of an IPA than a lager, plenty of flavour to it. Deffo got the bug, looking forward to doing more. I've split the cost with a mate so we'll have about 20 bottles each, I'd have way too much if I kept it all at the moment.

My missus went to do our big shop Saturday morning and came back with Estrella Galicia instead of Damm, my tipple of choice. It's only a very recent introduction here from the mainland so it was a first time tasting and it really is delicious - 5.5%, but a lighter, fresher taste. The only downside is that it only comes in 33cl bottles rather than cans, but that might be because my missus is blind. If you see it in the UK give it a go, I can highly recommend it.
