Very little action in Hylton Lane. Came over dark and a sprinkling of rain but that`s all.

No lightning, no thunder, no hailstones the size of small bungalows.

    Very poor show I reckon.

just at Southwood (course is in excellent condition at moment, greens are like a carpet), 2 day event, leaders on the second day go out last.
Play club matches against Blacknest, canny knock over there and the fairways will be bone hard, good food as well and the members over there are pretty friendly.
    What's the society you have?

love the lakes, we usually try and get up there every year for some excellent hill walks. Stay in Ambleside and more often than not we are blessed with good weather.

Play in a society made up of old British Telecom worker's. Cracking lads from all over Surrey and Hampshire. Haven't played Southwood this year but greens have always been excellent. Must give it a try soon.

Enjoy your weekend of golf mate. Good luck in the competition and hopefully the weather stays kind
