Hull away - 1 Gunners home - 1 Tott home - 0 Palace away - 3 Everton home - 1 WBA away - 1 Chelsea home - 0 Villa away - 1 Hammers home - 3 Liverpool away - 0 City away - 0 Newcastle home - 3 Leicester away -1 That is 15 which gives us 37 points. I hope the safety level is less than that because I think some of my predictions are generous! Where do others see the points coming from? Delighted to get the away win but Ramsey and the team have a real battle ahead of them.
Looks tough but not beyond our reach. It cheers me that there's a few you haven't given us points for that we'd have an outside chance in (to make up for points dropped where you've predicted). I won't do my own because my predictions invariably go awry.
Could be down to momentum. A win at Hull could give us enough confidence to get something out of the home games against Arsenal and Spurs. I think we can win the last two games, which could be crucial. Hopefully Leicester will be down already.
According to Savage on the BBC site, 33 should be enough this season. Mind you, he says we won't get that many. This was just before the Sunderland game, though
Whilst it looks tough, the other teams down there have got similar run ins. We just need 1 more point than three other teams at the end of the season.
33 will not be enough but Savage talks bollocks About 37-38 will be what we need and that will be really tough. I feel we need a win at Hull.
33 would give a very different perspective. However, the pundits say 33ish quite often and it invariable seems to require more than that. I have this mad idea that we are going to beat Chelsea at home!!
It's very hard to predict, I expected zero points from Sunderland let alone an away win this season. With Harold at the helm I was resigned to us going down but now who knows!
Dob't know if this is any help but whilst we play Hull on Saturday these are the other fixtures for teams in the relegation scrap Villa v Stoke Palace v Arsenal Chelsea v Burnley Sunderland v West Brom Everton v Leicester (Sunday) Points are going to be tough to get for most sides.....just need to match or better the result for the side currently 18th.....
We have not had our annual QPR giant killing game yet, so I reckon (hope) we can factor another three points in to the equation there somewhere. I hope it's the Chelsea game as I will be at that one celebrating my 40th!
I don't think you can predict the points and where they will come from. We beat Arse/Scum/Spuds at home before so who is to say we won't again? I never thought we would beat Sunderland and we did however i thought we would beat Palace at home and we didn't. Seriously all we can hope for is to get a few wins and for once have a few other results go for us. Especially Villa! Every year they are cr@p and manage to pull a few results out of the bag at the death. This year they need to go down.
I ran through the games yesterday and guessed where I reckoned the points would come from. Mine also totaled 15 and I felt I was being realistic.
Has anyone one ever stayed up with 33 points? If we can pick 3 points at hull that will be massive. Really hope it doesn't come down to the last day not sure my nerves can take it
I would target where the WINS can be and we are looking for about 5 more: Hull away - probability HIGH Gunners home - probability LOW (but a London derby) Tott home - probability LOW (but a London derby) Palace away - probability HIGH Everton home - probability HIGH WBA away - probability HIGH Chelsea home - probability LOW (but a London derby) Villa away - probability HIGH Hammers home - probability HIGH (and a London derby) Liverpool away - probability LOW City away - probability LOW Newcastle home - probability HIGH Leicester away - probability HIGH In short, 13 matches but we have a high probability of of winning 8 of them (to win 5 could be realistic). 5 matches look very difficult, but three of them are London derbies and at home, and who knows. We are due a suprise result. To summarise, to win 5-6 matches will be difficult, but it is certainly realistic and not improbable!
Those fixture look tough whatever way you slice up the possible points lost/won etc. Hull is a massive game!!
...as will be Palace, WBA, Villa and Leciester. But if we can't beat them, we should not expect to finish above them. For me they seem realistic. But it means winning away...
At least one side at the bottom will pick up a reasonable amount of unexpected points. It may be that two sides won't get more than 33 but I can't see that applying to three clubs. We have at least as much chance of surviving as four others do.
