Wins are more important than draws, we played for the win at Sunderland for the first time in an away game this season so the die is cast. Starting at Hull there must be five wins in that lot and I think a win on Saturday would really create momentum...
I like the probability analysis. Hopefully Newcastle will have nothing to play for by our last home game. I don't want us to be going to Leicester looking for a win on the last day to stay up.
38 points will be enough this season.13 games to go,4 wins,4 draws and 5 defeats. That would give us 38 points and almost certain safety!simples.
Yes, 40 is normally the preferred target mark. We MUST beat Hull ................ a draw will continue to keep us in the bog.
The points are there for the taking. It is only an issue of our performance and tactics. Based on what I saw in the Sunderland game, I am optimisitic. An even better indicator will be our performance at Hull. Today I am optimistic and am interested to see how I will feel Saturday evening. A win will be a great result. A draw acceptable A loss very disappointing
Ramsay seems a switched on guy, and I'm hoping he's developing a fraternal relationship with Taarabt and is using the two weeks off to bring the guy up to match fitness. If Adel is positive in body and mind, we know he can unlock deadlocked games including those against the top clubs. With Fer gone, he could be the difference between staying up or sinking
West Ham, Everton and Newcastle at home - wins Palace and Villa away wins and a couple of draws. 39 points.
Hull away - 1 Gunners home - 0 Tott home - 1 Palace away - 1 Everton home - 3 WBA away - 0 Chelsea home - 1 Villa away - 1 Hammers home - 3 Liverpool away - 0 City away - 0 Newcastle home - 3 Leicester away - 3 17 points, 39 in total = safety. There you go, simple
I'm fairly certain I remember Gianfranco Zola keeping the Spammers up a few years ago with that amount. He was awarded with the sack
I would have thought that 36 points would be an absolute minimum requirement for the team 3rd from bottom, probably 37-38 points.
Whatever way you look at it we have to hit our best form of the season consistently from now on. COME ON YOU R's!!!!!
We are QPR, it's never going to be simple regardless of what the maths says. I am sure when we get close to safety someone will threaten to take some points off us for the FFP fiasco from last. I'm confident we'll make it but by the skin of our teeth...
I think you may well be right. If true, is it too much to hope for a good & youngish manager, sensible transfer activity and a decent pre-season under the radar so we can start with a bang in 15/16 (like the Swans)?
Wanted to just re-visit RTID's post. Although we are now 2 points shy of where we needed to be according to this I genuinely think that on tonights performance we have a good chance of picking up the 5 wins needed at the following games: Palace away Everton home Villa away Newcastle home Leicester away Factor in possible draws at WBA away and Hammers at home and that will give us 39 points. A win either against WBA or WH and we should be safe. Everton and Villa may well end up crucial 6 pointers tbh. A tough, tough ask admittedly, but alway the pessimist me and not beyond the realms of possibility. Whatever happens, as long as we keep Chris Ramsey as head coach I will continue to feel positive about our future. U RRRRRRRRR's
