Simple question. Put aside your feelings about the transfers last year. Who do we miss most?

Jay Rodriguez. I think he was on the cusp of greatness prior to his injury.

Agree with HB. Jrod and just at the moment Rickie.

Not sure if it counts but for me it is J-Rod, could really do with him right now to give Pelle a rest. As for the players who actually left the club I don't think we miss any of them particularly. The main weaknesses within our side atm are goals and unlocking defences who sit back. We struggled to break down teams last year aswell, a lot of the time because we were too slow in our build up, which seems to be Liverpools main gripe with Lallana that he slows their attack down too much to perform his 57th Cruyff turn of the game. Can't really say we miss Lovren, Shaw or Chambers as our defensive record speaks for itself, and Clyne was always better than Chambers anyway. Which leaves Lambert who I think is probably the one we miss the most of the players who actually left the club, whilst still not missing him that much if that makes sense.

Jrod, Lambert and (checks body armour) Lallana. Don't get me wrong I think he's a completly arrogant douchebag, but he is a very talented one.

Rickie all the time. JayRod as well, but Rickie mostly for his creativity and vast footballing intelligence.

Lambert. Can unlock defences and score, and would be the perfect person to give Pelle a rest for a few games.

Lallana who'd be able to unlock defences.

No one. We are basically the same team as last year, but with a better defence. We found scoring hard last season as well, we scored 54 after 38 games. This season we have 38 after 26 games, so not far off.

Lambert or JRod without doubt at this time when we can't seem to score

As unpopular as it might be, it's Lallana. Although at the start of the season with Tadic playing how he did we didnt miss Lallana at all. We need to create goals and that's something we always struggled to do when Lallana was injured.

Lambert if you mean players who have left. JRod if he is included. We need another striker.

Rickie for me, but I'm beginning to miis Mad Arthur as Frazer has not filled me with confidence all season. I know it sounds rather strange criticizing the keeper with the least goals conceeded but I for one are not yet convinced?

Well seeing as we're currently 5th, and this time last year we were what? No better than 8th? Then the answer is obvious. No one, really. True, we only have one proven striker, and he's currently struggling for form, but that was equally true this time last year.

As for those saying Lallana, are we really missing him? He was a joy to watch at times, but in terms of his overall contribution to the team, I'm not sure we'd be a markedly better side with him in it. And he still can't last 90 mins.
