That was a fascinating read. He has certainly had a brilliant education and it's now easier to understand why he's taking us up to cloud 9. Can't help thinking we've acquired something more special than the Special One!

If we win back to back titles and he gets us a second CL win.
    That'll be the true test.

What I got from that article is that Conte is a very decent man, from a close knit family. That should not be underestimated. Right from the start he was instilled with the notion that success is the bi- product of hard work, dedication and focus. He has carried this through his playing career and his managerial career. And this is the simple philosophy he has brought to the Chelsea Club. The work is being done, the egos are being subdued and replaced with a sense of teamwork, and the fun has come back . It's a win win combination. Players with no form have improved, more talented players are more often on top form and willingly play for the team. Even better, we are winning games and we have largely stopped the off field problems and behaviour that too often brought us into disrepute in the Media. Couldn't ask for more.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte spoke ahead of another London derby against West Ham United, as the Blues are set to face Slaven Bilic side at the Olympic Stadium on Monday Night.

The Italian manager is confident that his side can produce a good performance against the Hammers: “I hope so because the result wasn’t good for us and we want to try to take three points, -Conte said – It will be a difficult game. We all know the difficulty of derbies but we are preparing very well for this game, in the right way with great commitment and focus”.

For sure it will be a tough game and also we will know the results of the other teams so there will be positive or negative pressure. But we are ready to play this game and try to do better than last time”.

About Andy Carroll, who is still a serious doubt for the clash, he added: “Andy Carroll is a really good player, very strong physically and we must pay great attention, but we must pay attention to the whole West Ham team because in the League Cup they beat us”.

Then Conte ended: “We are preparing different solutions to limit the strengths of our opponent but it’s important for us to play our idea of football, bring our philosophy, try to play, score, defend very well and play with high intensity”.
