Sorry, yep, NBC sports is what I meant. I've got a hosted IPTV service. It's got all those channels plus BEIN sports, ESPN, FOX, etc...loads of places to watch a game. OSN sports is another one that has games.
Or lower the subscription fees, so it makes little sense to do it (especially in the clubs and pubs). However, to be able to lower there fees, they would have to lower what they pay to the premier league and all that would happen, would be another provider like BT or Virgin would jump in.
If the bubble bursts, then transfer/wage costs will go down. So players cannot be as greedy, but it won't change the status quo any more than the current bubble does.
What happened to FFP?? £ity have spent over £230 mill already. And PSG are apparently considering spending €200 mill on one player!!
There is an interesting article on the BBC about how PSg could fund the purchase of Naymayer ( sp ) on my tablet so can't post the link , but interesting imho .
It's anti-competitive and restraint of trade, if you buy a business you should be allowed to put as much money in as you want, plus there's the exchange rate and values. It still governs wages (in a way), but they scrapped the major part of FFP before they were forced to by the courts.
Under normal business circumstances I'd agree. But clubs like PSG and £ity are effectively owned by incredibly wealthy Arab oil states. There's no competing with that kind of money, they could spend billions and not even notice it.
They have, 2 years ago, or do you believe Man City & PSG generate more revenue than Man Utd and Real. The french league has no commercial draw and is piss poor financially in comparison to the EPL, Serie A, Bundesliga and la liga, how could they afford the 1/3rd Billion Neymar will cost if FFP hadn't been completely altered? Wages are still subject to FFP, to certain extent, but the rules on what you can spend have changed massively, whether it was the threat of a legal challenge or simply because Uefa & Fifa are greedy money grubbing ****s who want their cut, I couldn't say.
I maintain the UEFA FFP was a knee-jerk by Platini et al when Citeh became a Sugga Daddy FC, fearing a possible PL domination of the CL. Then PSG (France) became a Sugga Daddy FC not long after (moral high ground immediately gone ) .
oh, for sure it was all about ****ing over the English, that was all Platini ever seemed interested in.
As per you're talking bollocks Ern, I could educate you on how clubs manage to balance their books for FFP, but I really can't be arsed, so wallow in your ignorance
According to Wikipedia, UEFA eased FFP in 2015 in response to threats of legal action. Though what parts were eased and what sanctions were lifted was never made common knowledge. BBC ran a story on it too http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/32784375
No Ern, I've not forgotten them scraping parts of FFP as that didn't happen, the amendments in 2015 didn't alter the basic principles of FFP. http://www.uefa.com/community/news/newsid=2064391.html People also forget that the PL has it's own set of FFP rules http://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/latest-news/premier-league-update-their-ffp-rules
