To be blown away like that in less than 2 sessions is unforgivable! If they had at least survived till Lunch on the last day at least that would have shown some strength of character. Serious questions need to be asked and solutions found quick! The Aussies must be pissing themselves with laughter right now!
They have got 2 world class Seamers in Morkel and Philander but at the same time a lot of the dismissals were down to extremely poor shot selection!
SA are a very good side but you would have fancied England on this pitch and with the overcast conditions on day 1 and day 2. The truth is that SA batted properly and bowled superbly throughout. England batted for a total of 96 overs in the whole game which is the same number of Overs as SA batted in their first Innings!
I'm not denying it was a piss-poor performance, it's just a little bit arrogant to place all the blame on the batsmen!
So England ladies are triumphant at Lord's - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/40698974 Edit - and Spieth wins the Open after a nightmare at the 13th hole. PS - Perhaps we can concentrate on football for a while now.
The ladies won the world cup for the fourth time. The men have won it......? (0). Froome wins Le Tour for the fourth time as well. No Brit had ever won it until Wiggins, and now it is 5 times in a row.
Well, 5 of the last 6 anyway. Well done to Chris Froome, an amazing achievement. (PS - please move to General Football thread if in wrong place. )
Get rid of one of these two plus Philander and there's a soft Saffer underbelly waiting to be exposed
Elgar nicked one through to the Wicket Keeper but Root failed to review it! He had clearly knicked it as the replays showed!
All credit to the South Africans, they are sure giving it a real good go and not capitulating like we did at Trent Bridge!
