Lets hope Dick can make sure he is not a distruption and gets the most out of him on thr pitch.

If he signs and we get Fer too our midfield lookd very decent.

We would still have money and a loan available to sign 2 x more quality players. A forward and a defender would be my wish.

I like this bit from Wikipedia:

"His manager Antonetti has declared that M'Vila "reads the game like Makélélé, has the presence of Vieira and can pass the ball likeYaya Touré".

For me, based on pre-season and new signings

    Pants
    Jones---Coates---Kaboul(C)---PVA
    Seb-------M'Vila
    Fer
    AJ---Defoe---Lens
Gad Damn that's a good looking team!

    You rate Jones?

Must admit the team is shaping up nicely. Looks a lot different.

I would possibly throw this lineup into the mix as another option.

    .....................Pants.....................
    Mathews..Kaboul..Coates..PVA
    ..............Catts.....Mvilla..............
    ........................Fer.......................
    Lens..............................Giacc....
    .....................Defoe.....................

Giacc tucking in to let PVA over lap, lens on the other side. Terrifying pace on both wings with Fer and Giacc pulling the strings, plus two destroyers in front of the back 4 breaking everything up and keeping to ball.

Not really but he's had a decent Pre-season and I haven't seen enough of Matthews yet to decide. Jones looks hungry with a spring in his step, even if his decision making and passing isn't the best you can't knock his drive.

Chucking M'Vila in for Cattermole is suicide right now, he'll never hit the ground at his best, even top players like Mata take months to find their rhythm again after time out. I doubt he'll be anywhere near fit either.

If he was to replace Cattermole I think you'd be looking at least Christmas time before that happens unless injuries/suspension force the situation

I'm sure Com asked our thoughts on our strongest looking team and not what team starts against Leicester Tel. Never mind M'Villa, is Fer fit enough? None of us Know. Is Kaboul fit enough? Nobody knows. My team was based on how it could look with the new players, not who's in contention to start. :)

It does protect us. I just hope if the lad does well we have an option to keep him for 1 or 2 more years

Either way if we get M'Villa, Fer & a decent forward this would give us a massive boost to start the season.

Be interesting mate. I hope he comes good the guy was a boss in midfield. I mean he was no Makelele as I've read somewhere, but he was very, very good.

Worth the risk of taking him on for sure, I wouldn't even blink.

I've read how good his passing game is, how assured on the ball he is. This sort of player is the only player that will allow us to progress with Catts in the team, He'll take a lot of weight of the lad to allow him to do what he does well Any Combo of Seb, Rodwell and Catt just isn't good enough to work imo, but next to a player like M'Villa I reckon they'd all improve. Just hope he settles fast and keeps his nose clean
