Thats my thinking. But as much as ive slated Jones for some time. He is also improving. That was PVA first prem goal also. Hopefully he is on the way back to finding form. As he.s been ****ing aweful.
Aye, Yedlin done nowt wrong on Saturday. Jones has improved as you say but in prone to bookings. That was the best I've seen Paddy Van play in a long while. Hopefully he's getting back to last seasons form.
Even Coates is impressing me. It wasnt so long ago i wanted to cover him in jam and sugar and throw him onto a nest of fire ants.
Id keep yedlin in thats the way it goes if you lose your place and the back up performs well he keeps his place until something happens..
Great problem to have. Some competition up the field as well with likes of Borini & Lens on the bench. Yelin stays in for me.
Yedlin for me too..... His speed going forward far outweighs his defensive shortfalls for me. Have been impressed with Jones lately tho... I've seen a definite improvement.
Agree with the general consenus. Yedlin can't be dropped after the way he played on Saturday. He was joy to watch - fast on his feet and fast with his feet if you get my drift. My 9 yr old just couldn't get his head round why somebody who's that good going forward would be playing in defence.Things are a bit different in his Under 10s team.
Agree totally in most cases - but what about up-front? I'd start Borini if Defoe is injured and leave Duncan until the second half. Watmore runs himself into the ground and tires before 90 minutes even for the reserves - not a fitness thing, more a game management thing! But I love him!!
Yes i agree get borini in for defoe, watmore should be used from the bench for the whole of this season imo. Hes young and learning every game and hes making a massive impact whenever hes coming on and long may it continue.
I'd be the dominant gene as I'm blonde haired (well, I was when I was younger and actually had hair!!)
I'm keeping my biased opinion to myself, but it is Arsenal after all. He was probably programmed to seek and destroy during his year at Enfield Training Centre.
It doesn't seem a coincidence that as AS was himself a centre half that he is,instilling into his back 4/5 how to defend properly. These are the same players Dick had and they were awful, all good players individually but couldn't do it as a unit, Sam has got them organised and to keep three clean sheets out of six speaks loads for Sam's management ability, bear on mind we were mugged at WBA, they were never going to score same with the Saints, it took a penalty to beat us. Big test at the weekend despite Arsenals injury list and if we come through with another good result then we are definitely on a roll.
