We didn't start with our strongest 11 but could it have been a more perfect afternoon ? They matched us until a brilliant move ended with Kodija's finish. The second half just got better and better. I would pay money just to watch Lee Tomlin alone, I shouldn't judge on the 1 game yesterday but I'm struggling to think of any City player who has ever had his talent. Kodija deserves special mention as well, I think with this season under his belt, we will see an even better striker next year. The day for me was crowned by Dowling and Vyner coming on, I can't believe that Dowling is only 17. What prospect and fair play to Junior giving them both a huge vote of confidence - the 2 of them made it 5 from our Academy who finished the game. Yesterday was perfect.
Title and comments sum it all up for me, I agree 100% on Tomlin & Kodjia. There is a buzz about this team now and I pray they carry it over into next season, perfect day, perfect finish, Up the City..
I have bet on Kodjia to score the first goal without fail every game this season and at the start of the season I pulled a few in.. Yesterday I bet on Agard first goal and Kodjia to score a hat-trick.. I'm giving it up.. Also Hull let me down on my acca by losing to Bolton..FFS!
Was listening to Tomlins interview on radio Bristol. He didn't give any clues as to where he will be playing next season. I would think that other clubs have been paying attention to his form for us and could also bid. But he does like the adulation he gets from the fans so hopefully that could swing it in our favour.
Shook his hand and thanked him for his contribution yesterday.. Nice kid and plenty of time for the fans.
Nice to see all the positivity on here, and having seen the highlights it appeared that we were fully in control. It will be a different game completely if we were facing an opposition with something to play for though.
If you only saw the highlights you may not have spotted that they were very much up for it in the first 20 mins, the better side in fact.. the goal right on half time killed them.
Your concern about my money touches me. It was of course you who mentioned betting, we all know that. Still any excuse to have a pop. Bristol Rugby on the telly... must go, they are 5/4 on
Great to end the season (at home) on a high note. Watched the goals this morning and Tomlin's was something special. Let's hope we can figure out a deal for him. Nice to hear that he has time for the fans as well, especially as this is not "his club" right now. Hopefully it will be though. Big kudos to LJ for the job he has done. Brave decision by the Board but so far it has paid off. I really hope we can get going quickly next year and not be in the relegation spots all season again.
Spoke to Lee Tomlin before the game & he stressed how much he loves it here at City but said he's not sure what the future holds...let us all hope he signs on, one of the best players I have ever seen play for City...worth the entrance money alone to watch this top quality player.
I would imagine he is on big money in the Premiership. Much depends on how much Bournemouth want to get rid of him (or not)
My betting directly concerned the game in the post. I note you never post anything about any of our games or players its always your opinion on something or politics or how badly City are run in some way, or how great the Gas are.. or how great you are. Who cares how much you spend on a bet? Its just showing off. We all know that Lared. (or is it Brenda or whatever?)
Bolton v Hull ?? No team comment.. See post above Showing off ?? I really don't care that you have got a cheap box seat next year at £72 a game. Well done MTD at £99 per season If you don't care why comment? Still must rise above this
I can't understand why you are such an advocate for Bristol City FC when on your information page you declare yourself as a supporter of Exeter Utd, surely you would be better off sticking with your own declared fan base.
