Saw this just now and wonder what you guys think. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/631067/Cardiff-Vincent-Tan-sell-30million-Championship Given his investment, I can't see that he'd sell without recouping his money.
Mehmet Dalman is the founder and chairman of WMG Advisors. They have apparently published a brochure for the sale.
Would seem a very strange time to try to sell. They've sort of backed Warnock, he's got a squad he thinks can compete and is a promotion specialist. Zohore might be worth £15m + at the end of this season on his own. In the middle/top of the Championship we're always going to be worth somewhere near the £30m mark. If Warnock did work his magic this season Tan could probably get his investment back if he sold or asset stripped in the PL with the ever increasing TV deal. Don't know about anyone else but it's definitely better the devil you know IMO.
tiz better the devil you know dude, if he does sell im hoping it will be someone with our clubs best interest at its heart..............trouble is there isn't many Welshmen with money....................COULD THE FANS START THINKING OF A BUY OUT!!!!!! ive got a couple of squid spare so im hoping for a place on the board for my ten pound stake ........ lukaku cost 3 Cardiff cities.......
Perhaps he'll have a sell on clause inserted. I'm waiting for the denials in the official statement from the club. Otherwise I agree Stevo - very strange time to sell up at a considerable loss when in 9 months time with Warnock at the helm of the playing side, he could easily recoup the lot.
I think there may be a grain of truth, nothing more. The story was thin on information, if there was a brochure, why not show it? Perhaps he's thinking of generating more shares to the tune of £30 million? That would make more sense. As Steveo and Sparkey said, why would Tan sell now? Surely he has too much to lose.
Old news apparently.......... "WalesOnline has been told the document, which has existed for nine months, is intended in the main to attract worldwide sponsorship and advertising. It is sent out in the form of a presentation to potential clients." http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...s/cardiff-city-issue-strong-reaction-13358408
That looks more likely Sparks, the Star took 2 plus 2 and made 5. I think Tan will be with us for at least 3 more years.
yay so that means I get 2 keep my Pavarotti, I guess im rich this weekend and might even get a traditional Turkish dish>>>>>>>>>>>>>pizza with a side of cheesy chips
So there is a current document that does offer the club for sale. Not really what Dalman claimed this morning............. "WalesOnline has been told the document, which has existed for nine months, is intended in the main to attract worldwide sponsorship and advertising. It is sent out in the form of a presentation to potential clients." Despite Dalman's denials that it was only an invitation to those investors seeking to advertise or sponsor the club as a vehicle, it's clearly the closest we've come to confirming the long held belief that Tan wants out. It must be pretty recent too. Though Dalman claimed it had been around for over 9 months, it is clearly being updated. Dated now as June 2017, it also mentions the acquisition of Tomlin - the bloke only came to us last week! No suggestion of the £30M asking price that Starsport mentioned, but it's definitely on the market.
