Just a bit of fun really. List your top 5 favourite films of all time. Will be interesting to see what variety there is and may provide a chance of recommendations of films to see. Here's mine:

    Goodfellas
    The Dark Knight
    Fight Club
    Taxi Driver
    The Departed

Goodfellas is at the top as I can watch it again and again and enjoy it as much as the first time I saw it. Add to that the awesome performances from Pesci, De Niro and Liotta and a cracking soundtrack make the film a personal favourite.

Just to confirm, are we doing what we think is best 5 or our favourite 5? Cos mine are very different.

I did best rather than favourite.

Yes, yes it is. I originally wrote 10, and did a process of elimination.

    1. Being There
    2. Blade Runner - directors cut
    3. The Salvation
    4. Schindlers List
    5. Chinatown

The bottom four are flexible and are occasionally replaced by other (imo) classics - Being There is always no. 1

'Best' on that basis translates as 'films which are rated highly according to critical consensus and which I thought were ok'. **** 'best', you can get that off any critics list on the internet.
